Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cisco-Linksys WET54G Wireless-G Ethernet BridgeCustomer Review: Works for me Summary: 5 Stars
I wanted an Ethernet bridge so my Replay TV can access my wireless network. First bought SMCWEBT-G EZ Connect because it received great reviews. Sadly, that product didn't work for me. I did all I can do to make it work and was about to call their support when I saw the Linksys bridge. Was worried at first because it didn't get good reviews but after checking it out at Linksys' web site, I thought that it will work for me. And it did. The set up was very easy - I just followed the quick install guide. Once the device was configured, I connected it the Replay TV and that was it.
Customer Review: Works as expected Summary: 5 Stars
I needed to connect my kid's playstation2 to the internet, and I got tired of running a cat5 cable to my Linksys router every time he wanted to play online. Installation was easy, and I configured it by connecting it to my router via the supplied cable, and running the software it came with. I did have to change the default ip address, as I had a conflict when I used the auto ip configuration. I even hooked up my satellite receiver to test the connection and it worked as I expected it to.
Customer Review: Great for that isolated spot in your network! Summary: 5 Stars
I have an area in my home that is about 100 ft from where my office and wireless router are at. I was having a hard time getting a good signal over there. The WET54G worked beautifully! I've had it for about a month now and have never had any problems. The only hiccup is in the setup. By default, the bridge is set to the 192.168.1.0 network - Make sure the computer you're using to set the bridge is set to that network. Once you've done that, you'll have no problems.
Customer Review: Excellent Wireless to Ethernet Bridge! Summary: 5 Stars
Purchased this bridge to connect our ethernet printer / copier / fax to our wireless network. Setup was quick and simple! I ended up connecting it to a switch to connect a few other ethernet devices as well. Each device was able to properly obtain an IP address from the DHCP server without interruption from the bridge, and the bridge is handling the bandwidth very efficiently! I highly recommend this product for it's stability and easy setup.
Customer Review: WET54G Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge Summary: 5 Stars
TiVo is the real tag/topic here. TiVo HD box and SONY Bravia are upstairs. Linksys WRT54GS wireless router is downstairs. With WET54G the TiVo was on the network / internet in 35 minutes from "configure on PC-to-plug in to power upstairs-get TiVo to recognize the network IP-watch the slides on downstairs PC on the wide-screen HD TV upstairs." That included the time messing around reading the directions, etc.
