Customer Review: Couldn't Be Simpler

It took me 10 minutes to install from opening the package to programming, to screwing it onto the door frame. Of course your actual experience may vary, depending on your model of opener. It is universal, and happened to be simple with my opener. But the instructions break down the variations by opener very well. They steer you to one of four columns (sets of steps) to follow based on your opener model.
I've only been using it for a week but its working well. The battery that came with it was no-name so I decided to change it to a good alkaline while I had the unit open to screw it down. I changed the battery quickly and thus didn't lose the programming in the process.
The cover that slides up and down to cover the keypad could potentially be problematic because its a very tight fit and requires a strong push to slide up. That may just be because its new and maybe it will glide smoother as it wears a bit. But I have some concern that in the cold weather, when the plastic is brittle, that if you push it up with force and the angle is off by a little that it may crack, but so far so good.
