Top 6 Things You Need To Know About Me And This Printer
1. Was an upgrade from a old $30.00 HP printer that I had forever. Was only interested in a printer that gets the job done as inexpensively and problem-free as possible.
2. Found it on sale for $59.99 (from $89.99) at Target.
3. Does everything well, but can't really compare it with more expensive models because I've never owned any.
4. Had issue with old Lexmark CD supplied software not being compatible with my up-to-date Apple Snow Leopard operating system. Called customer support number (800-539-6275) and the service agent take over my computer and download the most current Lexmark/Mac software directly to my computer. About a 10 minute wait to get a live representative, but otherwise it was as easy as customer service gets.
5. Joined the Lexmark Rewards Program where you can receive 1 cartridge free for every 5 you buy AND you get another free cartridge when you return 5 used cartridges. Prices for cartridges through Lexmark are comparable with Target's prices. Seems like a no brainer.
6. I use it wirelessly and through a cable to my desktop. With the exception of the issues stated in #4, the Lexmark Assist Program was easy to follow for both my laptop and desktop.
