This is a good battery charger that can charge AA and AAA batteries. The charge seems fast enough, but the batteries are very "hot" when the charging is complete -- which may translate to a fast-charge which shortens the life of rechargable batteries. Ordering both the charger and batteries at the same time was very convenient, and the combined price was good.
