I bought this over 2 years ago, at 150 dollars. I use it to backup my Bluray movies, and many other things. Ive used this HDD to its full capacity. No problem at all with overheating, it gets a little hot but never burning hot. The hard drive looks beautiful, very sleek and i like the contrast of the blue lighting. I may even buy another one this christmas, as i am having trouble keeping all of my files in just one 1TB HDDCustomer Review: A must have!

Great product, I've owned nothing but LaCie external hard drives and my brand loyalty continues to be very strong with this one! Like the 250GB and the 500GB drives I've purchased before this one, it continues to be an easily customizable & partitionable drive with ultimate speed! The 1 TB drive is even faster than the other two! I was so impressed! Way to augment my capacity for high-quality video editing space.Customer Review: Excellent hard drive!

This is a quite small, portable external hard drive with 1TB storage capacity.
I have a backup from other portable storage devices in daily use in this hard drive .
I collect clinical cases, annonymized, for my medical lectures. I cannot loose this information that takes years to have.
I already have a lower capacity LaCie and I like the design and reliability.

Ordered this, it arrived quickly. Worked right out of the box and looks cool sitting on my desk. Transfer speeds are limited by USB 2.0, so if you want faster data transfer buy the version that has something like 4 more connection options. I'm cheap, so I went for the budget version of this drive. It's suited me perfectly so far. I'd definitely recommend.Customer Review: Great Buy!

I love this product! It reads and writes fast enough that I didn't have to get the Firewire version. The sleek design and color matches the rest of my gaming rig while adding the memory that I needed. It's universal plug and play feature allows me to bring a wealth of information and files where ever i need them without fear non-compatibility issues.
