I purchased this player primarily because of its ability to stream Netflix movies and because of the number of positive reviews that appear on Amazon. I concur with those who are happy with the player. Set-up was relatively easy (diagrams and the back of my TV notwithstanding), load-time for either DVD or Netflix movies was reasonable (some might say fast), and the remote was clear and straight-forward. I have not played a Blu-ray movie; however, DVD movies are brighter and sharper when played on the LG than on a regular DVD player. The 4 rating that I have given for video quality is based on the fact that while the quality of streamed Metflix movies is perfectly adequate, it is noticeably, but not at all unacceptably, inferior to DVD movies. I assume that the contrast with a movie in Blu-ray format will be even more impressive. I am very happy with the LG, particularly in light of its reasonable price on Amazon.Customer Review: Best new 6th gen Bluray player so far!

After doing a very thorough round of research on the new 6th gen Bluray players (Samsung BDP1600&BDP3600,Panasonic DMPBD-60K&dmpbd80K,and LGBD370)i picked up the LG BD370 and am blown away by it so far.It was the fastest of the new players listed above as well as having the best picture(equal with the Panasonic DMPBD60 which also offers and outstanding picture and is quite fast but missing ALL of the new addons the other players are offering)The BD370 has TrueHD and DTS Master audio decoding on board as well as being BDLive 2.0 ready, and having out of the box Youtube connectivity(free) and Netflix streaming(you need to have a Netflix sub).I got mine for $259 from my local BB(which has all the new models in stock as of last weekend)with an area price match and find for the price/performance/feature set the LG BD370 offers, that it is easily the top new BR player in it's price/class range this year.Customer Review: The LG BD 370 Network Blu-ray player is fantastic

I love my LG BD 370!It was very easy to set up and I love the on screen menus.I have it connected to a Linksys router and Netflix and Youtube are lightning fast.The bluray DVDs play like a dream,the regular DVDs are upscaled to HD quality,I sure can't tell the difference,they look just as crisp and vibrant as the blurays.Same with the DVD-Rs that I burned.I am so happy I chose this player instead of some other cheaper player from WalMart.Nothing against WalMart,I bought my Vizio 42" HDTV from them and it's great.If they had the LG player I would've bought it from them when I bought my Vizio.
I'm going to buy another LG Bluray from Amazon for the livingroom but it's going to be the 390 wireless version.Even though the LG players cost a little more than the other bluray players,they are well worth the money.I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a great network bluray player.

I can highly recommend this DVD player! I replaced my old Magnavox Blu Ray with this one and I must say I am very impressed. The Blu Ray load time is very fast. I popped in a disc, closed the tray and it was playing before I sat down! I played both Blu Ray and regular DVD's without a problem. I also tried a few that I burned on my computer. Everything worked fine.
The Netflix must be my favorite feature though. We will never again say there is nothing on TV! Just load some movies into your queue online and they pop right up on the screen. When you hit play it only takes about 10 seconds to load. The picture quality is great. It has got to be the slickest new feature for DVD players I have seen. The Youtube feature is also great.
Overall I would say this would be a very good product for anyone looking for a Blu Ray player with internet capabilities.

We had purchased a different Blu-Ray player from another site for $100 as a Black Friday deal before really doing our homework. The one we had purchased was a bare-bones unit.. had very slow load time and a horrible remote. I was then talking to some friends and they asked me about whether it had 'Netflix streaming'..I wasn't familiar with that feature.. when I checked into it and found that it didn't.. I realized that I really wanted that feature, so I returned the one I had, and began a search for a new one. I found this LG unit here on Amazon for fifty bucks more than the other one... and it was a no-brainer. I'm so glad I did this - the picture quality is better than the other Blu-Ray player, I now have Netflix (and Youtube) streaming on my TV, and it works MUCH better than the other one! This is a great deal - so glad I purchased it!
