This was a great buy! I had just switched from Blockbuster to Netflix, and learned that Netflix had capability for streaming movies. While looking for the streaming device that was running about $129, I stumbled upon the LG BD370 & BD390. The 370 was on sale for $149 and I had two Amazon Visa Rewards making my cash price $99! As I already had a wireless access point for DirecTV HD-DVR, I put a spare gigabit router from the wireless to the gigabit router then two both the HD-DVR and the LG BD370. Works perfectly, very easy to download from Netflix! Didn't really buy for Blu-ray, but I have played one Blu-ray dvd (MJ's This is It) and it was beautiful! Upscaling from regular DVDs is great too! I would recommend this one to any one, as it was very easy to setup and use. The only difference between the 370 and 390 is that the 390 has wireless access. However, if you've got another internet access point, either wired or wireless nearby you don't need the 390. BTW, viewing YOUTUBE at 1080p on a 55 inch screen is loads of fun and very adicting!!!Customer Review: Everything I hoped for

I purchased this Bluray player in March, and have loved every minute of watching programs on it. I have an older HDTV (rear-projection LCD Sony), and this LG is hooked up via Component Cables, since my TV doesn't have HDMI inputs. The quality of Bluray discs is fantastic. We also watch a TON of Netflix on it, and when we get "HD quality" from the service, it is very good.
I gave the remote 4 out of 5 stars maybe because it took me a few uses to really figure it out. I'm not sure if that's because this is my first Bluray player or the design from LG.
The bottem line on this product is that it has exceded my expectations. If you've seen a Bluray demo at any store, you know how good these can be. Even with my component hook-up, the quality blows away DVD. And we use the Netflix streaming feature far more than I expected we would (I just looked it up, and we have watched 87 movies or TV episodes on this player since March 3rd).
I would highly recomend this product to those looking for a Bluray player

I bought this in Indonesia - it is currently the only Blu Ray player on sale at a sensible price. I am delighted with the video and audio performance although I have only my old temperamental (but otherwise excellent) Samsung 1080P7 upscaling DVD player as comparison.
It is a well manufactured good looking piece of equipment and it is fast and plays every DVD in my collection. That is to say it does now that I found a region hack on Fixya, for which I am most grateful.
I have only three Blu Ray discs and they look terrific. I will leave the question of how the quality compares to the Panasonic and Sony entry level models to the experts.
I'm giving it 5 stars as it is the best and most user friendly DVD player I have come across in 8 years, and the speed is terrific. DVD and BD quality appear awesome to my eyes. The remote is easy to use and will operate basic controls on most TVs. At under $300 it is cracking value.
Am wiring it up for You Tube tomorrow!

Simply put, we LOVE this blu ray player! When our dvd player broke, my brother said we should look into a blu ray. I'm not too savvy with current technology, but with the holidays coming, a lot of blu ray players were competative in price with dvd players. I did a LOT of research, found this one, and had my brother (the tech guy) research it too. And he agreed, it was a great player for the price! So I bought it, mainly for the Netflix feature. We have NOT been disappointed! For the Netflix and Youtube features alone, the purchase was worth it. Not only is the player steamline with a clean, cool, facing, but it is user friendly, even for me! We signed up for Netflix, but when they didn't have Merry Christmas Madagascar, we were able to watch it -full screen- through the Youtube option. We have been able to watch old tv episodes we missed, visually explain to our son where "More Cowbell" comes from, and all kinds of cool stuff! I read all the reviews for all the various blu-ray players before I settled on the LG and I am so pleased with my choice. The only downside is the time it takes to load a disc. It's not terrible, but it's definitely noticeable. But in the long run, I don't really care about that. What matters is the performance when playing a disc. There are no pauses or interruptions as I know are a problem with Samsung players. And the quality of the picture is amazing! I'm even more impressed with the noticeable difference in quality of my regular DVDs.
The Netflix feature has been our favorite feature of this player. Movies load instantly and have great quality. It's nice to have a list of movies and tv shows waiting to be watched. I would not suggest buying ANY player without this feature!!
The price is surprisingly great for a player with such great performance. I definitely suggest getting this player over any other!
