Well, I received a Samsung blue-ray disc player that streamed Netflix. It had issues, even after updating the firmware. The Samsung was slow to load and the audio/video constantly got out of sync. Needless to say, it was returned.
I checked reviews on the Lg Bd-370 and they seemed to be good so I ordered one from Amazon.com for 253.00 delivered.
Since then, I have watched only a half dozen or so blue-ray titles, which looked great. But I have streamed hours and hours of Netflix.
In approx 5 or 6 weeks I've watched all 4 seasons of Lost (in hi-def), 2 seasons of Weeds, 1 season of Californication and many other movies and comedies. I absolutely love this player!! The stream quality is actually better than my comcrap (comcast) signal. I rarely watch regular tv shows anymore. No commercials, better quality and I view them when I feel like it.
I would highly recommend this player, I've enjoyed it to the point that I feel guilty about watching so much television...very addictive. I haven't viewed photos or tried CinemaNow rentals yet but the Netflix and Blue-ray is great.

Had a Samsung upconverting DVD player that worked extremely well with my Samsung HDTV. Was not really looking for a Blue-Ray player but I buy alot of stuff on Amazon and decided to look at Blue-Ray players to see if the prices had come down. Was surprised to see this LG Player at $214 and eligible for Amazon Prime. The kicker was the streaming Netflix option.
I had been watching Netflix "Watch Instantly" titles on my HDTV through my laptop using a D-Sub cable and headphones connected to my laptop. Watching Netflix through this player is so much better. Better picture quality and no headphones required. I have watched numerous Blue-Ray discs on this player and the picture quality is excellent.
I have to say though that the picture quality using my upconverting DVD player was almost as good. The Netflix option was what sold me on this player. If you have a 720p HDTV and do not use Netflix then you should go with a good quality upconverting DVD player. Based on my needs I am extremely happy with my purchase. I have had this player for two months and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I have never written a review before on Amazon, but this product just blows me away. I would highly recommend anyone that is looking for a blu-ray player get this one from LG. It has so many amazing features. Two is the streaming of Netflix and Youtube. I was suspicious on how good this would look, but it looks just amazing. I think it is worth it just for that alone. All the content you can get from Netflix and Youtube can keep you entertained for months, weeks, days, etc. (I will admit it was a pain in the a** to get it setup to work over the internet, but it had to do with me. Who knew a switcher and router are two different devices? ha..now, I do!) And the picture and sound on this is incredible. This next part I found so amazing. I was watching a DVD and had to stop it in the middle of it. Well, I took the DVD out of the player and didn't watch it for 5 days or so. I decided to watch it again and (this is just incredible) I put it back in the machine and it started right up where I left off. I couldn't believe it. Anyway, I am highly impressed so far and wanted to give it my highest recommendation.Customer Review: Loaded with features at an exceptional price.

I've had this unit for about a month now. After my old DVD player was broken I decided that an upgrade to Blu-Ray was a better decision than a simple replacement and after pricing quite a few players and comparing their options I was very impressed with what this one had to offer for the price. So far I haven't been disapointed.
It is connected to my HDTV through my Pioneer Surround Reciever using Hdmi cables.
The one thing I'm not completely happy with is the mp3 player software. It has no features for setting up playlists or viewing large libraries. This seems like a standard shortcoming of usb mp3 software on all of the media players I've seen though so I can't really fault this player for it.
Netflix and YouTube are simple to use.
The usb media player works well and is easy to use if not terribly flexible.
The setup and installation of the unit was easy and intuitive. No problems encountered.
All of the features worked without any special effort.
Quality is at least as good as any HD player I've seen or heard.

This is the BD player for the budget! The Netflix & CinemaNow features are great (although I'd like more than just the Instant Queue access in NetFlix--but that'll come). It's got a slick design, is quiet, fast, and works great for both BD & DVD Upscaling. Other's have said the upscaling wasn't very good, but I've found it to be amazing (on a 720p plasma TV).
The only two things I don't like are the fact that if you want to do BD-live, you have to put the USB key in (no internal storage). And the only USB port is on the front under the right panel--so, you have to keep the panel open and a key sticking out if you want that feature. Also, the slide-down panel cover on the remote doesn't go down far enough to access easily the mute button. But, if you have smaller fingers, that's not a big deal either.
All-in-all, if you want NetFlix, UpScaling, and the latest BD specs--for the price, this is an awesome unit that I'd totally recommend to friends and family.
If you don't want netflix or cinemanow, then consider looking for cheaper models.
