I am trying to assemble a kit of items for taking on travel that takes up minimal space. Since this little gizmo includes a USB charging port, this I thought was a nice feature as it takes up less space than having to take along a dedicated USB charger. Just about all small electronics can be charged via USB these days (iPod, cell phones, kindle, etc), and you don't always want to carry along a laptop to do so.
You must simultaneously charge either 2 or 4 cells with this charger. While the inability to charge just a single cell has somewhat of a drawback, the included USB charger port more than makes up for that limitation.
