As someone who tries to be prepared for just about anything, I bought one of these as a back-up for my FZ28. The packaging of the battery says this should be good for up to 280 images. I kept waiting for it to die and even played around even more than usual to see what I could get out of this thing. I believe I got somewhere between 425 and 450 shots taken and at least 30 or 40 minutes of just messing with settings and whatnot.
This is just a fantastic item... so far. I'm sure I'll be putting it to the test this holiday season. Highly recommend. For the price, you'd be crazy to buy anything else. Don't bother with the $5 and $7 or $8 knockoff's from flee markets and back alleys. If you want to spring for the genuine article from Panasonic, go for it, but this is definitely a worthy subsitute at 1/4 of the price.

UPDATE: I took a day trip to New York City on 4-4-09. I started the day with this in my FZ28. With around 2/3 power left from previous use, I still managed to get somewhere around 507 shots, just a minute or two of 720p video, and at least 2 hours of being powered up and such(reviewing shots, checking/adjusting settings, etc.).
I noticed the genuine Panasonic battery has dropped to a somewhat reasonable price, but I still love this little Lenmar! Great product!
2nd UPDATE: Four and a half months after my first UPDATE, it kicked the bucket. I had the stock battery in the camera, the battery meter was screaming at me, I popped the Lenmar into the camera, snapped 3 shots before the battery meter was down to 1/3. I put the camera away and when I powered it up later on, it immediately died. So far, they seam willing to honor the warranty, but shipping(including return shipping) is at my expense, which I have a hard time swallowing considering the product failed after 10 months. Ehh, well. I got a few thousand shots out of it for around $12+/-. It beats buying conventional batteries over and over, but still a bit of a disappointment.
