I bought this to use as an extension cord/multiple outlet to use in my car. The cord extends about 4 feet, allowing the main unit to sit comfortably in the middle or back of the car. While a different (cheap) multi-plug outlet died early in the trip, this unit survived the full journey (many 12-hour driving days), powering one GPS, two cell phones, and a portable fridge! There were absolutely no problems with this unit. It didn't blow a fuse or even warm up at all. The unit isn't nearly as huge or heavy as others claimed - it is exactly the size and weight I'd expect for a four-outlet unit. Measures about 5.25" x 3" x 1.75" with a removable bracket on the base. Four of us traveled across the state to attend a Geocaching Event. I purchased two of these units, one for the front seat and another for the two passengers in the rear. We used both units to power GPS units, a laptop computer, PDAs and cell phones, and a quick charge battery charger. It worked extremely well and provided all the needed power for all these devices. One unit was placed on the center hump in the front of the car. The cord is is plenty long enough to allow placement of the second unit on the back hump behind the front seats. You can, if you wish, attach the unit to the carpet with a bit of velcro. I am well pleased with these units and highly recommend them.Customer Review: What did I do without it?

I always read the reviews which I find quite helpful before I purchase an item. When I read that this unit was so big, I almost didn't purchase it. I am so glad that I did purchase it! How can anyone really complain about the size when you are getting 4 inputs for 1? It really isn't that big at all (I was expecting something that would have to sit on the passenger's chair... not at all). The unit also comes with a double-sided sticky tape to hold it up. I drive a Nissan and find that it fits right to the left or right of the console without really noticing it. Plus, it works! Go Lenmar!Customer Review: Love It

My iPod needed the outlet to charge and play through the radio. My GPS runs out of juice after a couple of hours. What to do? This works exactly as promised, and thanks to the other great reviews for this I was confident it would. I have used all four at once with no problems, but usually only need two to three at a time. Sturdy construction, mountable, and a wire long enough to avoid any issues like where to put it make this a great buy. Very nice product for the price. Four 12-volt cigarette lighter type power receptacles with covers. Adapter slides on and off of a plastic mounting plate which can be taped or screwed onto mounting surface. I used the included double-sided tape to install on the side of my center console. Holds well but will see how it does over time (Update - Tape held for two days in 75-85 temperatures on smooth vertical plastic surface). Four small screws also included. Looks good and works well. I would recommend.
