I bought this case with Toshiba's 500G Portable Hard Drive. It's a semi hard shell, which I like, but is a little light on the padding. I'd prefer a thin layer of dense foam inside the outer shell - hence 4 stars instead of 5. The loop and carabiner are cool but really not very useful for me! I suppose if you want to clip the case to your belt loop or backpack it's nice, but I don't like the idea of having the drive dangling.
The Toshiba drive fits in quite well, and leaves enough space at one end for a short USB cable to fit.

Not the prettiest or best material, but it does what it's supposed to do. My only gripe is that the zipper is attached to the wrist strap, so you have to have that flopping all over the place and getting snagged on other stuff in your briefcase or backpack. For the price, it's the best product available. If they would make it out of nylon, canvas, leather or some better material I would pay more because overall it has the best design features compared to other products.Customer Review: Good case for a great price

I choose this product based on the price, and I'm pretty happy with the product itself. The outside has a nice grippy rubber feel that makes it easy to hold on to. The inside is felt lined, but I feel maybe a little limited in the amount of cushion it has. My Western Digital Passport fits snugly in the unit and there is room for the cord.
Overall I feel for the money I got a good case. I think it would definitely help prevent damage from a drop.

I bought this to hold a Western Digital Passport. It fit inside just nicely and also has a little net pouch inside I put the usb cord into. It is a little harder case than most which I like and do not have to worry about dropping it with the hard drive inside. I have dropped it witht he Hard Drive inside and everything is ok. I would recommend this item.
