This is my second flash drive by Kingston. My first one, a 1GB unit has been working flawlessly for some 4 years now. This one seems also perfectly realiable. Unlike the smaller one, this 8 GB flash drive has no removable cap. Its USB plug-in head is retractable, so there's nothing to lose, nothing to worry about. It was recognized in Vista immmediately, driver installed automatically, ready to use in seconds. Loaded about 2 GB's of portable software, no problems whatsoever. It does what it's supposed to do with no annoying software. I moved all my music, documents, and photos from my Windows PC to my Macbook Pro with this. It was easy, and I was satisfied with the speed. A great thumb drive with a nice feature that makes it cap-less. It doesn't have a lanyard hook up, but I just keep it in my laptop backpack in the pouch for cords and such. Overall great product. I got the 8GB capacity, and plan on using it for college for various papers and such.Customer Review: Why didn't someone think of this years ago?

A spiffy little device at a price that's almost unbelievable. Considering what I've paid for hard drives over the past 20 years, this paltry sum for 8G of storage is a hyper-bargain.
Don't hesitate - buy one (or more) now!

I bought two of the USB 8 GB Traveler Drives. I really do like them. I am an artist, so I have a great deal of pictures that I save and edit for future use. I can save a great deal on just one USB drive and then I catergorized the pictures and burn them on DVD's so I can watch them on my TV. They are easier to see when I need something to draw and paint. Highly recommend having the use of at least two USB drives at a time - one for my paintings and one for family.Customer Review: Fast Drive with Plenty of Space

This drive is quick and provides plenty of space for my needs at a great price (I got it on sale). I use it to run PortableApps like Firefox and Instant Messaging programs on the go with public computers. My drive also can boot Linux which is useful for fixing computers when Windows gets a virus or has other troubles. Basically, you'll have more than enough space on this drive unless you store music or movies on it instead of on your media player. Highly recommended!
