This flash drive is a snap to set up, just plug it in a USB port and find a new drive letter in Windows Explorer. I even used it on a USB v1.1 port, which runs slower, but got the job done. The flash drive is 8GB of empty storage, there is no encryption software or other free stuff included... perfect for me, I didn't want ANY thing else. At under $30 this is a great device to move photos, music, and files. Heck, you could probably carry an entire encyclopedia around in text format! Oh yeah, the cats even kicked this flash drive around, and it still works perfectly.Customer Review: Great price, works great

Its amazing that you can get 8gig on a thumb drive for this price! Just imagine in a few years. I've used this device on several computers now and it works fine. I bought one to store important files on and place in a small safe deposit box. A DVD won't fix in my safe deposit box, and this stores almost twice as much as a DVD anyway.
This drive does NOT have the annoying auto install software like some other manufacturers are infecting their products with lately.
And why are people tagging this "4gb"? Its an 8gb drive!

The little kingston 8 gig data traveler is a gem in itself. Small enough to fit alongside another flash drive in my laptop so that I can do two backups at anytime (important when you are writing two books at once, so much to lose)Large enough to do a quick save if the hard drive should start to go for some reason. Big enough for most anything, now that I think about it. Retractable USB port as well and we don't want to forget the extra small price in a brand known for quality. You may find better flash drives, but for the average person, why bother.Customer Review: No complaints

I don't really have much to say. The only things I look for in a thumb drive is being completely blank (or be able to be completely formatted) to be rid of any preinstalled software, a reasonable design, and it not falling apart.
This drive gets a lot of use from me and is my primary that dangles from my keyring. The only complaint I have is that the push-out design feels pretty cheap now. I fear that any day I am going to squeeze it in the wrong way and it will break.
It hasn't happened yet so still no complaints, I guess.

Its hard to believe that 8GB of data can fit into this tiny flash drive that's the size of a stick of gum. And the part that sticks into the computer is retractable so you don't have to have a case for it. I bought it to transfer pictures from my laptop to my desktop computers, and it works like a charm. Its a lot easier than emailing photos to myself, especially since I have a rural area, super-slow dial-up connection. And you can take data anywhere. I highly recommend this product, and you can't beat Amazon's price!
