I just got back from 10 days in France and Italy. Of the three of us on the trip, mine was the only adapter to work. It did a great job on plugs for the iPhone, hair dryer, flat iron, camera batteries and that was all we took with us.
What a lot of people don't realize is most of your modern stuff does not need a converter (plus this adapter). So we just used the adapter and all our stuff was rated for both US and EU use. Look on your equipment for 100 or 110V-240V, 50-60Hertz, if it says this it will work in the US and Europe.

I bought two of these for my daughter before she traveled to Germany with her high school class. I knew she'd have plenty of equipment to power (electronics and typical teenaged-girl paraphernalia) and I figured that one or more of her classmates would forget to take their own adapter. I was right on all counts and apparently her two adapters were in constant use -- powering hair dryers, camera battery chargers, etc.
By all accounts, the adapters worked beautifully and without fail.

I used two of these in a 5 week trip around central Europe and it did exactly what I required of it. I did encounter the problem of it sometimes not remaining stuck in the socket, but this was never a huge issue, especially when all that was needed was for it to just sit there and charge your computer. Also, this was not a real issue with the mainland Europe adapter. Considering their versatility and their price making them almost disposable, I could not recommend a better product.Customer Review: Perfect through Europe

Served it's purpose through the UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland. Worked well. You will be aware that it's on with its red light indicator. I don't really know how to work devices such as these therefore it will be easy for anyone to work! Charged my iPhone 3gs, camera and mini hair straigtener just fine! I had borrowed my friends and hers did not work in the UK. Didn't need a converter as recommended. For me, a very reliable plug that was lightweight!Customer Review: Cheap and it works!

I had one of these already for a trip to Europe last year (which worked flawlessly) but needed another for a recent trip to Asia. Both were identical and come with all variations of plugs that I've had to use or seen. They are cheaper if you can wait and buy them elsewhere which source them directly from China... but alas, this was a last minute purchase and even with 1-day prime shipping, the cost still beat what I could get in a local brick & mortar.
