Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kingmax Super Stick - 2GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive (World's Tiniest)Customer Review: Wowie Summary: 5 Stars
Jesus, this thing is tiny--exactly what I was looking for for my keychain. I saw a friend with a 1GB model and bought myself this one merely minutes later. No longer do I have to cart around a heavy thumb flash drive, I can hook this to my keys and just forget about it! And you can't argue with that price either. Works just fine with my Intel Mac and OS X 10.4, even though it's not specified on the packaging. The only concern I could possibly have is durability, and that remain to be seen. FINALLY someone realized that nobody wants to deal with caps that you lose and sticks that are just too big to comfortably go with your keys.
UPDATE: After a few months of heavy use (classwork at the university), I have to say this guy is worth more than it's weight in gold. Fits in any USB port, stows in my wallet so it's always with me, and large enough to transfer movie files, there's nothing this guy can't do. Unfortunately, my wallet just broke and the drive fell out so now I have to buy a new one. Such is life--you shouldn't ever be putting data on a flash drive that isn't backed up somewhere anyway.
If I had to gripe, I'd say that the plastic sheath that protects the IC should probably be made of a stronger, chip-resistant material. If they could properly insulate it, replacing the plastic with metal would be ideal. As it is, I've dropped it, thrown it, walked around for months with it in my wallet and had no problem. The form-factor is a huge selling point for me, and there's nothing out there that beats this guy.
The included lanyard and chain is cheap and breaks easily. You don't want it anyway, so I don't even care. $20 for 2GB of portable, tiny flash memory. Why doesn't everyone have these embedded in their skin yet?
