Bought the 8GB and the 2GB at the same time. The 8GB goes to my son who'll be a college freshman in 4 weeks and the 2GB is mine. These are really well designed and perfect for him. He has "misplaced" a couple of flash drives already. This he can keep in his wallet (he hasn't misplaced one of those, yet!). As a computer science major he can use the 8GB capacity for backups and file transports. I use the 2GB for "sneakernet" file transfers in my office. This works exactly like I'd expect a flash drive to work. I have a few other ones that come with own built-in softwares that try to add things in like games - they take longer to initialize when all you want to do is transfer files. This is simple, easy to use, and initializes very quickly. Just plug it in and transfer files back and forth! It also comes with a little, rubber carrying case, which is convenient as well. I have many flash drives and definitely recommend this over the others I've tried.Customer Review: Just took it out of the dryer....

I bought this drive while I deployed to Iraq. I needed something durable and it stood up the sand and the heat without an issue. However, I wondered if it was really washer and dryer safe. After a trip, I returned home and put my clothes in the washer, unknown to me my this flash drive was in a pocket and when I took it out of the dryer (moments ago) I plugged it in and it worked without a hitch. Man, right when i got this i was freaking out about the size .. then i put it on a light thin lanyard.. its real nice to wear around your neck, and when other students in my Computer forensics class saw it, they were amazed that it was that small and 8GB lol...its fast for the most part it took me 5 minutes to transfer a 600mb file to it.. not bad.. but i just love the size so i can wear it on my idiot chain and not lose it...Customer Review: Wonderful little thumb drive

These are fantastic. I brought mine into the office and at least 5 more people bought them. They are small and work well. My son actually did wash and dry his after he left it in his pocket. It still worked and all the data was intact. His did finally break but only because it bent too much while he sat on it. It was in his wallet. I am actually thinking abut buying more of them. They are handy and hold 8GB each. WOW!
