Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of KingMax 8GB Super Stick =NEW Microsoft Vista Boost Certified= USB Drive. **Washer and Dryer SAFE!Customer Review: Works like it's supposed to! Summary: 5 Stars
I am contract IT support tech for a large integrator and I needed a smaller USB drive w/more capacity. This is what I found. I use this with laptops and overloaded USB hubs, etc.. some of the USB keys (I have a 2gb SanDisk & a 1gb Kingston)are just to big. I occasionally have problems fitting them in place, reaching behind machines, under desktops, etc... They also take up a fair amount of room in pocket which already has multiple key fobs for various computer rooms and customer's plants.
This little item stays in my wallet, I've had it 3-4 months and I can carry all my patches, drivers, etc. on it w/o problem. Has worked in every machine I pluged it into so far. The little rubber case is useless though not to mention pink though. Don't see how at this price you can go wrong.
Customer Review: twelve months daily use still perfect Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using one almost daily for twelve months. I keep this memory chip in my billfold - and I have a very small thin billfold (the kind that holds about four credit cards and a drivers license.) I use Synctoy to synch it several times a week to my laptop. I love being able to show up anytime anywhere and have a 3 or 4 gb folder of all my current projects in one place, always there, all the time. The fact it fits invisibly inside even a tiny billfold is a major feature for me.
Do I trust it completely? No - I never have too much too long on there before I synchronize again with a harddrive. Don't have one of these be the only place a lot of files are kept.
Customer Review: Great, other people don't know how to "eject" the drive properly I'm guessing. Summary: 5 Stars
I love this usb drive because of it's small size and reliability. I see some posts where the drive stopped working. Well this is a Vista Boost Drive so it is more sensitive than other usb drives and is almost always in use by windows. This means you can't just pull it out, you HAVE to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" feature of windows. Most other drives are not in use as much and can just be pulled out safely (not recommended though). I did buy my drive over a year ago ( still working great and I keep it in my wallet which I sit on daily ) so hopefully it's the same hardware, I don't see why it wouldn't be. Bottom line is if you use this drive correctly it is a great drive.
Customer Review: Best flash drive EVER!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using it for 6 months. I've owned about 15 different flash drives and nothing is as slick as this. I made a little holder with an old insurance card and packing tape, and now just slide it on the card and it always sits in my wallet to be used whenever I need it. I used to just let it sit in my wallet, but the end with the whole in it broke off from being bent by sitting on it. I am glad it broke off though, becuase now it is even smaller than it originally was! I just can't wait for th 16gb to come out, I will get another one! Far better than my Sandisk Micro Titanium Cruzer or other ones I have.
Customer Review: If you like tiny - this is for you Summary: 5 Stars
I carry a USB drive with me every day - attached to what has (unfortunately) become an ID rolodex.
My old USB drives, even though small, were visible and bulky. Not this one. It is so small, it fits behind the ID cards or in my wallet, completely out of sight. So far I have not met a PC or MAC that does not read the USB card, and it seems as fast as my SanDisk Cruzer Micro - USB flash drive - 4 GB - Hi-Speed USB - black
If you like small, this one's for you. It's a nice gift too!
