I bought these headphones for my three-year old son during long car rides. He enjoys using them, and they seem to be comfortable. The ear cup is not quite large enough to entirely surround his ears, but it fits over the top and rests on the lobes. The padding is good so I don't think this will be a problem. He has worn them for several hours without complaining, and even fell asleep in his car seat wearing them. The band is very adjustable (even I can wear these) but they still fit him snugly. A volume limiting attachment was shipped with the headphones, and works. Although, when using the limiter the device volume has to be turned up very high to be audible. I think the cushion on the ear cup helps reduce road noise, etc.
I would like to see sturdier cord, especially where it connects to the ear cups, but it has not been a problem yet.

I purchased these when a family member passed down an ipad to my 2.5 yr old. My son enjoys playing all sorts of learning games and watching shows on netflix on his ipad. I am not one of those parents who lets their kids be babysat by tv or an ipad for any length of time but sometimes it is just what my son needs to occupy him on a long car ride. I bought these specifically for that purpose. I use it in conjuction with the Muvn case and it works beautifully. My son tends to wear these upside down or just around his neck like a dj which is fine with me as long as I don't have to hear tom the cat drink his milk for the upteenth time. I haven't noticed any durability issues and I think the design is perfect for him. I only wish that the overall aesthetics were a bit more juvenile or cute. I also think that the price was pretty reasonable.Customer Review: Lost sound on left side after 4 months of use, but great customer care!

Bought this for my 4 (now 5) year old, fit and sound quality are excellent, only problem is the headset lost sound on left side after 4 months of use, looks like the contacts near the plug were worn out. I would expect a product for kids (specially so young) to be more durable.
Won't buy this again.

Editing this post about a week after the original post, I have downgraded to one star just because I tried calling kidz gear (used their phone number on their website), there was no answer, I left a message, but I never got a call back.
Edit (November 2011):
Got a call back from Kidz gear, they were really great, they are sending a replacement. They said they have a lifetime warranty, and if it ever brakes again they will replace it at no cost.
Upgrading back to 5 stars :-)

I bought these headphones after reading some of the other reviews and I have been very pleased with them. I bought them for my 1 1/2 year old daughter for a plane trip across country. Even on the smallest setting they fit her perfectly! The pads around the earphones fit around her ears and were comfortable for her. For a child her age it took some practice wearing them before we actually got on the plane. They also work well in the car so that my husband and I don't have to listen to Elmo singing in our ears. I highly recommend this product if you have small children and need a good set of headphones for your portable DVD player. I am sure that we will get good use of them as she grows since the headphones are adjustable. This is a great, affordable product!Customer Review: Great Kids' Headphones!

I bought two sets of these headphones for a long plane ride for my 7 year old and 4 year old. They like the same movies so it wasn't a problem plugging them into one dvd player. Our plane was delayed more than 2 hours while we were at the gate, and then another 45 minutes on the runway. My kids were completely happy watching movies the entire time. Additionally, as the plane was taking off I had them keep the headphones on (DVD off) because my 4-year old especially doesn't like loud noises. She was fine this time. I can see taking the headphones to the movie theater, a children's concert or play, instead of one of the kids sitting on my lap with my hands over their ears the entire time (done that a few times!!). Definitely a good buy!
