Just got it today, and am using it now. This is my first laser mouse with an ultra compact wireless receiver, and so far I am loving it! It looks like it's as reliable as my old Kensington Ci75m dual-powered optical mouse (which is still working after more than 2 years of usage, by the way), but this model's much more dense in feel and doesn't look like it would break with heavy hands.
Usage is simply plug-and-play, and responsiveness is very good - at first I thought it was a bit jumpy (almost dashing my expectations for this mouse), but I just didn't slide the on/off switch up to the very end, which resulted in covering part of the laser sensor. I slid it up properly, and it works as well as my trusty old Ci75m mouse!
I cannot say much about its battery life yet, but I always note the date of first usage on the batteries with a Sharpie, so we'll see how it goes.

Update as of 12/11/2010:
Battery life is slightly above average for me. The usual for me on wireless mice would be around 6 months. This lasted for almost 5 months. Still very, very reliable though, and I still am loving it.
Oh, and given the reviews of people stating how tiny it was, I took the time to measure the mouse's actual dimensions - it's 3.5" x 2"x 0.5", perfect for little hands. And yes it lies pretty flat, so it may not be the mouse for everyone. It has worked well on my wooden desk, not much with a mouse pad or some glossy surface (I would think those interfere with the laser in it).
