Customer Review: Get the BIGGER Kensington battery...
Summary: 4 Stars

I owned this product for four days, then returned it soon after. It is not because the product did not work, I just did not like the fact that when I put the battery in my pocket attached to my iPhone, I was afraid to break the connector/connection in my pocket and have no battery anymore. I upgraded to the larger version of the Kensington Battery Pack and Charger...which uses the USB/iPhone/iPod connection cable. And plus the battery with ac/usb adapter is only $10 more on Amazon.

This product worked like a charm...I discharged my iPhone till it gave me the 20% battery warning and it would take a little over an hour for my iPhone to be battery full or until I depleted the Kensington battery. It was only good for the single charge on a busy day on an iPhone.

Just consider your use before you purchase with either kensington product.

Customer Review: Don't understand why people can't get to the audio port
Summary: 4 Stars

I am reading the reviews on this and cannot understand why reviewers can't listen to their ipods while charging. I bought this at the apple store yesterday, but will be returning it because they charged me twenty more bucks than on amazon. However, I did look at the components and tried to see what all the hype was. Is your device different than mine? It must be, because if you are plugging the device in at the bottom of the ipod or iphone, how is that interfering with the plug at the top where your earphones go? I just don't get it. I even listened to the music while plugged in and it was fine. You can charge AND listen so perhaps we all have different devices. At any rate, even though I haven't had mine long, I will be re-purchasing this and anticipating that it will work just fine.

Customer Review: A Must Have! 4 Stars but still a MUST HAVE
Summary: 4 Stars

Provides a simple and wonderful extension of your battery when you need it most. It charges the IPOD instead of only acting as a battery and does so quickly.

Knocks (hard to do on something that I think is wonderful). You cannot use the headphone port when the unit is attached. Would be terrific if either it were shaped differently to allow access or had a pass through port that allowed use of the headphone jack.

Have had this item for only a few weeks and it is used almost daily. Kids love using the Ipod Touch and quickly deplete the battery but this keeps them happy for many more hours of fun. Am giving kids an Ipod Touch for Christmas and will certainly be picking up a couple of these as well. You can't go wrong with this item.

Customer Review: The best one yet
Summary: 4 Stars

A solid product that does what it's supposed to. It holds a charge a good long time; I've kept it in my briefcase for a month and it still delivers a full charge when needed. It's solidly built, and doesn't require any cables. I also like the indicator lights. It's sturdy, reliable, and the best choice.
I've tried three other add-on iPhone batteries, and only the Kensington lives up to its promises. The MacAlly portable battery was attractive because it's not much bigger than a USB drive. But it doesn't hold a charge long at all, and I've since stopped using it as you never know if it will have any juice. And Zap had a battery that was as much hype as its supposed electric car.
Go with the Kensington.

Customer Review: No problems here....
Summary: 4 Stars

Sure it's not going to charge your ipod/iphone 3-4 times on one charge, but in a pinch if you find yourself with a dead battery this little guy will get you through. It has the capacity to charge my iPhone 3G from 20% to 100% (in about 1 hour) and that's about it. If you want/need more capacity that that, you need to buy a larger battery. For me this works about perfect.

I haven't had any compatibility problems. None of those annoying "airplane mode" messages. I just plug it into my iPhone, and it beeps and shows that it's charging. You can continue to use the phone with the charger attached. It basically works just like you have the sync/charging cable plugged into a USB port.
