First of all, I got this bag in record time. Used regular shipping and received in 2 days! Great job Amazon team! The bag definitely looks much better in person than the photo. I was very pleased when I opened the box. I would have paid $40 (or more) for this bag. It's all black and very simply looking (which I like a lot). You can put a few paperwork in the front packet or back (or the charger). It even has a name tag holder and key holder inside which are cool. By the way, this bag was built for 17" monitors, but my Sony laptop (17.3")fits perfectly. I was reluctant to order this bag at first thinking that it might be too tight or won't fit, but I'm pleasantly wrong. The pad protections are light, but good enough to protect from the occasional table bang, door hit or low drop.
If you're looking for a light weight laptop bag just for your laptop and charger (with a thin manual or two), this is it! If you're looking for a bag that can hold your cell phone, lunch box and a fat binder with your laptop, this is not for you. For the price, it's an EXCELLENT buy! Great quality overall. The only con I can see is the buckle that holds the strap. It's made from plastic and some metal pieces. However, the plastic looks durable and should hold the strap securely as long as you don't add more weight on top of the laptop and charger.
