you have to like how this hub looks, especially when all the ports are filled. Kind of like a mechanical spider that crawled out of a crashed ufo. And as far as performance goes, it really doesn't have to do much. It does what its supposed to do. It has a long power cord as well as a long usb cable to plug into your computer so you can put it where you want. It came with a laptop usb light which is cool. This little device has been a dream. Not a single problem since purchasing it a couple months ago. It's weighted enough that it doesn't slide around even if the cords/peripherals are moving. No problems having my computer recognize devices through this USB hub. USB plugs stay connected without a problem (i.e. they don't slip out easily like some other ports). This is the exact hub I've been searching for! Very pleased.Customer Review: It does the job right.

I recently purchased this item to use with my iMac (which has the horrible design flaw of providing only 3 USB ports) and it works great. I haven't experienced any of the "unplugged" or "lose connections" issues that other reviewers have experienced. The USB cables I use plug tightly into the USB ports of the DomeHub and they don't jiggle or move even when I touch them. I'm quite happy with my purchase.Customer Review: Works Perfectly

This hub works perfectly, plus it looks cool, and has one port right at the top which is great if you have items that need to be connected/disconnected often. Of course, having all of those USB connections can slow down your computer. With this hub, it's easy to disconnect any items that aren't in use and reconnect them when you need to.
* 15 months later, it still works perfectly.

This is the third USB hub I've bought. The first two, from well known companies, never worked consistently with all of my peripheral devices and never worked at all with a few of them.
This one works perfectly all the the time without fail. I don't have to give it a second thought which is exactly what a usb hub should do.
And when I do see it, it looks good.
