Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Kensington DomeHub 7-port USB 2.0 Hub with FlyLightCustomer Review: Great Hub Summary: 5 Stars
I had checked out some video reviews online, and I didn't find many, however once I received this hub, it's design and features were everything I wanted. The indicator lights are not too bright, yet helpful. It stays put perfectly as well. AS for technical specifications, this hub comes with a USB extension cord, which I needed so I was glad it came with that. The power usages stay reliable and the ports work very effectively. Very well done. If you need a hub for that corner of your desk, that won't let you down, I recommend this. 5/5
Customer Review: Works exactly as advertised Summary: 5 Stars
I am impressed with this hub. I own an older Belkin stackable model that always fell over due to its light weight. This unit is rock solid with its weighted base.
The light is also a very handy extra - great for travelling if you need additional light alongside your laptop by using one of its onboard USB ports.
I think another reviewer complained about the short cord on this unit. Please note that the package contains a USB extension cable for those who need to locate it further away from their PC.
Customer Review: Hub-a Hubba! Summary: 5 Stars
First, I have a G4 iMac snow globe. This USB hub matches that very well. Style is important. Second, this has a mess of ports. Expandability is important. Third, this hub isn't strictly USB powered. It can but but it also has an external power source. This means it can support not just passive data routing but also charging my Treo and powering my Canon USB-powered scanner. Load capability is important.
A great hub and one I really recommend. This was the hub I was looking for and I'm happy I got it the first try.
Customer Review: Stable, sturdy, worth the $38 Summary: 5 Stars
With this USB being weighted, it provides a sturdiness that ensures it doesn't slide all over the desk. The 7 ports are great, as are the corresponding indicator lights. The ports themselves are tight and well constructed, so your peripherals stay attached. It also has the benefit of being relatively small and compact, making it not only a small footprint on your desk, but also fairly ideal as a traveling companion, a great thing for me, as I am on the go a lot. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Functioning USB Hub Summary: 5 Stars
Oddly enough, I'm not too excited about a USB Hub, so I don't feel like there's a need to write much of a review for one. But anyways, this hub works as it should, and has a great design. The LED lights are pretty useful, though since a USB Hub can't tell you what is plugged in, only that something is plugged in, this limits its usefulness. The design is "cute" and fun, though it can get ugly once you plug in 7 things. Also, the included Firefly Light is again, "cute", but uselessly dim.
