Secures a notebook to any immovable object in a hotel room, or in an office, provided, of course, that there is such an object available. I wouldn't have minded if the cable were a foot longer, which would allow locking to bigger objects (desks, etc.). Otherwise, well made and easy to use, and you can register the key code with Kensington, so if you loose your keys, you can get another one.
