Customer Review: Just what a presenter needs

This product's simplicity makes it work. As a frequent presenter, I have struggled with keys, mice, and the terrible remotes that come with projectors. The problem: you have to focus on the tool instead of the audience. This remote has only four functions--the ones that you need: next slide, last slide, turn off the slide, and a laser pointer. That's it. One other feature that clearly is the result of someone who actually does presentations is that the USB part--a part that could be easily lost--plugs into the remote when it is not in use. Doing so also disables the laser so you don't drain your battery.
If you do a lot of presentations, use this remote. All that you want and nothing that you don't.

This presenter is outstanding. I am a college professor (ie use this everyday) and also present frequently at conferences and have never had any problem with this. It's easy to use, highly durable, and the range is outstanding! A previous reviewer noted they only could go 20ft away, but I've never had a problem being even triple that far away. (I'm actually not sure how far it could go...apparently further than I've needed.) I should also note that it is not necessary to point the device at the USB port (as with others I've used). I typically keep it at my side.
I've started giving this as a gift! Have had mine for three years with high usage and never experienced a problem.

The Kensington has smooth operation and from a very good distance. We use it at our church for our Sunday morning Powerpoint, and we actually can be quite a distance and still have its' power travel through the congregation to get to the computer to advance the slides. It is ten times better than our previous wireless presenter. We don't use the laser on it as of now, so I can't attest to its' use. Its' ergonomical design is wonderful to have in your hand for the entire Worship service. Also, the self-storage of the USB connection is handy in that it does not become detatched or have to be kept in a bag to be kept together. I lead group singing for a kids' Bible Club in my church. Tired of song lyrics hand-printed on poster board, I put the songs I commonly use on Powerpoint when the church installed a computer projector. This worked fine as long as I had a kid I could depend on to be at every meeting who wasn't embarrassed to sit at my laptop in front of the group to change the slides for me ( since I am playing the guitar, I can't change them myself ). When I saw this remote, I knew I had to have one. Now I just give the remote to another adult, who remotely changes the slides for me from their seat near the back of the room. It works great! NO problems whatsoever, and a great deal for the price.Customer Review: A wonderful, ergonomic device!!!!!

When it arrived, we opened the box, took it out, put the batteries in (it even came with batteries) plugged in the USB receiver....and then it worked. TADA! It was that easy.
It is great with the button to blackout the screen, the button for the laser pointer, and back and forth arrows. It advances slides in both the Powerpoint presentation mode as well as non-presentation mode.
It is nicely weighted and fits comfortably in the hand. I encourage everyone to get one of these who has to give presentations!
