Customer Review: Good Indoor Shortwave Wire Antenna

I Bought this antenna to replace my old shortwave antennas and I needed a very good connection and reception to my shortwave portable radio. When I got it, it came in a small white box, but no pouch and no strap to hang the antenna up on the curtains. The antenna makes a great addition to any shortwave radio with out a long wire antenna connection. I bet Kaito could make it longer up to 75 feet. I would recommend using this with the KA-35 shortwave antenna
with a special custom made adapter that plugs into the amplifer such as stereo 1/4 plug to 1/8 jack to connect to the shortwave wire antenna. The whip is ok, but this is better for the KA-35.
You must hang it up high in the room with mounting hard ware, leave some slack wire to connect
the antenna to your existing shortwave radio.
It's better than nothing and it sure beats the whip antenna that came with your active antenna for example the KA-35 and your portable or base shortwave radio.

It stows very well, and is also helpful item for your shortwave radio reception.
I don't leave home without it. Goes with me when I travel and it packs real nice and helps the radio out with reception.
I live in Michigan and when I attach this antenna, I can receive stations from Louisville Kentucky. Go Cardinals

The best way I've found to increase sensitivity for less than $30. Could be sturdier, but would cost more--shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't use it for a wheel chock or play baseball with it. Compact and light for carrying, versatile and effective in use. Don't expect a miracle, but for $15 it's close...

This is a necessity if you plan to use the Kaito Voyager KA500 series Radio indoors. Reception with the built-in antenna is not very good inside the house especially with the NOA stations. I just wish I could leave it attached when the radio antenna is folded down.Customer Review: Shortwave Radio Antenna

I am pleased with this purchase. I have had success in bringing in clear stations on my radio. I am not an expert about shortwave usage but the antenna makes stations clearer.
