My husband and I have your Kaito KA009R radio and we love it. We took it camping with us this year and found out how remarkable and durable the radio is. We were up in the mountains and were able to pick up radio stations with no problems. On the way home - we ran into some problems and the radio ended up being stuck in the back car window for about 28 hours. Well the sun was beating down on the back of the radio - the back warped and the back panel melted - we can see into the radio to the mother board in the back. With all this we figured the radio was toast...but it still works wonderfully - my husband had to force lose the dynamo power knob in the back, but once he did - it played like a charm. We love this radio and look forward to getting another one...but we won't be giving this one up!
