We bought this for our daughter last Christmas and she loves it. We needed something smaller that can fit on a shelf on her wall and it also had to be easy enough for her to use since she is 8. This little stereo is great. The sound quality is good and if she wants to move it she can because it is light weight. The remote that comes with it is a bonus and she really likes that too. We haven't run into any problems so far in the 8 months she's had it. As far as the Mp3 feature I am not sure about that since it's only been used for CD's and radio. I could see it being used just about anywhere that someone may not have a lot of room to put a stereo. I want one for my kitchen now:)
