Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds -Onyx BlackCustomer Review: When all you want to hear is your mp3 player... Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This little earbuds do a fantastic job of blocking out background noise when listening to my ipod and they're so comfortable that I've fallen asleep wearing them a couple times. If you've ever listened to hypnosis mp3's where you want to just concentrate on the recording, they're especially good for that. I have a recording of ocean sounds that I like to listen to when I can't sleep and these earbuds work well even when there's a dog barking outside or other sounds that can keep you awake. I tested them by turning the volume way up on the TV and then listening to quiet music on the ipod and they performed well.
Most of the time I listen to music and the sound is excellent with the high's, lows and bass all coming through very well. The sound is warm and rich. I find that I don't have to turn the sound up as high using these because they keep out the background noise which is better for your ears. Also, the earbuds stay in your ears. Some other earbuds I've used in the past fell out or got turned in the wrong direction easily, like the ones that came with my ipod, but these didn't. The other thing is that they have a nice, high tech look to them. I'm impressed.
Customer Review: A steal for it's superior sound quality, comfort, and design Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a pair of earbuds to replace the ones I had for my workouts. The Apple M9394G/A iPod Earbud Headphones that I had were awesome and lasted for more than two years through daily workouts and even a deployment to the desert but they're expensive and I wasn't willing to shell out that kind of dough for another pair.
At $13.99, these J2's sound just as good and are even more comfortable than my Apple earbuds. The L-shape of the earbuds allows it to fit snuggly into the ear and makes it low profile - no longer do you have noticeable earbuds sticking out of your ears like a dork. There are also a variety of colors enabling you to match it your Ipod - I chose black to go with my black Ipod and DLO case making it a very sleek package.
I listen mostly to hip-hop and electronica when I workout. I don't know why some of the reviewers were saying that the sound quality of these are poor - the sound is amazing! Just put in some Mylo or Eric Prydz and you'll know what I'm talking about. The bass bumps and the highs sound crisp and distinct.
In terms of durability, only time will tell but so far there are no issues. I will update my review after a few more months of regular workouts (5 times a week, one to two hours each time). As it stands, these earbuds are fantastic and a steal for the price.
Customer Review: My new favorite headphones Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
JBuds J2 are my new favorite headphones and I recommend them for everyday use.
These earbuds are comfortable and unlike my Philips SHE9850 and E2c-n, the J2 headphones do not make my ears itch. The package contains three sizes of ear pads. The medium worked well for me. The sizes of the pads are typical, so if you have problems with this type of headphone fitting in your ear in general, you will likely have problems with the J2headphones.
I was impressed by the sound delivered by these headphones, especially at this price point. Unlike my more expensive headphones, I do not hear subtle static during classical music. The strong point of these headphones is the treble, which I love. They are weak when it comes to delivering a rich bass, but I don't like a lot of bass in general, so these headphones are great for me.
At the moment, the product description does not include the technical specifications, so I will list them here for audiophiles:
-Impedance: 16ohm +/- 10%
-Frequency response: 20Hz-20kHz
-Sensitivity: 102dB
Customer Review: Perfect for the gym Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I have a couple of other pairs of earbuds, and these may be my favorite. The sound quality is good - not quite as good as the expensive ones that are advertised to block out all external sounds, but these are far more comfortable and I don't feel like I'm almost piercing my eardrum to get them in.
They are also very attractive and look very sleek, and the length of the cord is just perfect for the gym, where I use them when I am on a treadmill or a cross-trainer. All of my other sets have cords that are either too short, or way too long. Also, these earbuds don't pop out of my ears when I am working out, which is another big plus.
In addition, I've now used them twice, and the cords don't get all twisted up like my other pairs, because they are a little bit thicker which makes them feel much more sturdy. I believe you can purchase a case for this, but I find that I don't even need it - they haven't gotten tangled yet.
So recommended, and if you're looking for a good set of earbuds to bring to the gym, this should really fit the bill.
Customer Review: Even better than the originals! Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I got the original JBuds a little over a year ago. I ride the metro to work every day so the noise isolating aspect of the ear buds was really important to me. I want to be able to hear my music over the metro without blasting the volume. I'd like to protect my hearing and also not annoy whoever is sitting next to me.
Well, I've been using these for about a week now and they're even better than the originals. The noise isolation is much better and I like the design better too. I can keep my volume at a low, reasonable level without having it drowned out by the roar of the subway. When I was at home I put them on and asked my husband if he could hear the music coming from them and he said no. So in my opinion they do exactly what they say they will. And you really can't beat that price!
The final, and best improvement over the originals is the reinforced jack. As much as I liked the first JBuds, the jack quickly started to wear. That was the one flaw. Well, that's now been fixed, so I give them an A+!
