Customer Review: seriously how hard do i have to try?

i would assume jlabs folks have great customer service judging how you all respond back to everybody review who have given you one star. But, i was wrong. i bought these earphone i thought it would be great after all the great reviews it got here. it was all muddy and lack of bass even after burn in time of several months. so i assumed i have a defective item. (im still okay at this point i still would give you guys 4 stars) here is where you stars started to drop. so i followed jlabs advice from other review. and sent them an email saying my earphones might be defective because it's muddy and has a lack of bass. 1 week later still no response. so i thought they never got my email you know just a fluke. ( i was still okay at this point) So i sent another email saying the same thing. IF YOU ARE READING THIS JLAB MY EMAIL IS [...] maybe you should search for it. Now another week as past still no responds from jlab. so i thought what can i do to get their attention. AH they respond to everyone here pretty quick if people give them a one star. DONT GIVE ME THIS COPY AND PASTE STUFF. im sorry yati yati yah. please contact us at jlab yati yati yah. until this is fixed i will leave it at one star and will not update this message.

After about a month and a half later. jlabs finally responded to my emails. i believe from what they said they just hired someone new the warranty department and he or she did not do his or her job. so 1 week later after the contact they kindly asked me to give them my address and the model i had. jlabs did not require me to send my old ear-buds. they just sent one out asap and included a ear bud case for free (without telling me). so in the end jlabs has certainly surpassed my expectation. and it is more then i can ask for. i have not test out the earphones yet. i will update that later.

For the price these are being offered, I'd say snatch them up as fast as you can. I am not an audiophile but I do listen to my mp3 players on a regular basis. I've owned a pair of Shure's and today I use Westone UM2's which are simply amazing, but they cost around $300. Are the Westone's better than these J2's? Yes, but they also cost 10x as much. If you want some knock around earbuds that you're not afraid to lose or throw in a backpack, or if you're simply on a tight budget, this is the product for you.
These earbuds block out background noise well enough, the bass seems to overpower other sounds at times, but that just might be the music I'm listening to. The silicon cushions are a regular feature of high-end earbuds and once you find your size, for me the mediums were perfect, you'll enjoy them. They do go into your ear canal so cleaning them once in a while is a good idea. Walking around with these in your ear, they stay in your ear, not too much pressure on your ear canal, and the sound quality is very good, once again, for the price these are being offered at. A pleasant surprise for me was the fact that they fit the first generation iPhone, the majority of headphones/earbuds, including my UM2s, will not fit the iPhone, but these do. I'd also recommend these if you're not sure how 'in ear' earbuds will work for you, some people cannot stand the feeling of something in their ears, others don't much care. But, instead of spending over $100 for Shure's, Westone's, or any number of other expensive earbuds, you can just give these a try.

I honestly did not expect much from these earbuds, but I surprised. They delivered excellent sound and have been well worth the retail price. These are advertised as "sleek and sexy," but I'm not sure earbuds can ever be that. The design is decent and simple, just like most other earbuds on the market. I don't really buy my earbuds based on look, but rather, how they perform.
I was impressed by the level of bass provided by the earbuds. They provided deep, rich tones but were not overwhelming. Overall, they provided crisp and clear sound. I did not test for durability, but they appear to have quality craftsmanship. I will note that the cable provided was of very ample length (most earbuds have short cables, but the cabling on the JBuds had a good amount of slack).
These are noise isolating, so don't confuse that with noise cancelling earbuds. They do a decent job of isolating the sounds you are listening to while blocking out other noise, but they do not completely block out other sounds like a noise cancelling set would do. It's really a matter of preference. Noise cancelling earbuds are usually bigger or require batteries. On the other hand, the JBuds Premium Noise Isolating earbuds provide decent isolation in a small, very portable package.
The earpieces provided are of decent size (small, medium, large) and one of them will likely fit everyone. Be sure to get the fit though, as it does make a huge difference in the isolation of sound. Overall, I'd definitely recommend these for the price.

JBL Creature II 3-Piece Powered Speaker SystemThese speakers are good too. These earbuds are amazing. I am a middle school student and abuse my headphones a lot. Since I ride the bus home, I can daily use the noise canceling. Unlike other noise canceling headphones, They do not drain my iPod's battery any more than $10 headphones I get at best buy. The noise canceling is amazing, and I only hear people on the bus over my music if some girl next to me screams. :-) The buds that come with them fit my ear well, and if I go on a trip from a high altitude to a low one, I have to pull them out every hour or when i pull them out the buds stay in my ear because of how well the seal. The only thing better about these headphones noise canceling properties is the noise. Sit back and relax 'cause once I start talking about these headphones noise, it is like trying to slow a train with a feather.
Unlike other headphones which claim, "concert like sound" these trump them all. The bass is amazing, and the treble is a little high, but I can fix that with EQ on my iPod. Acoustic music is its only weak point, and during songs with acoustic guitar, the headphones emit a high pitched noise. For short periods of time a.k.a bus rides, it is ok, but for long trips a.k.a visiting relatives, it may give you a slight headache. But enough about the acoustic, for rock, (metal, light, slow) it is great. The best song to try these on is Through Fire and Flames. (good song) I highly recommend these headphones, I have not had them for long, so I do not know about how durable they are, but they seem pretty durable, and have great noise.

I purchased these j2 buds from an Amazon Lightening Deal. I am glad I did as they perform respectably and this is the only pair of ear buds I have tried which actually fit properly in my ears.
I typically use ear buds for running and as such always opt to purchase ones that have a clip around the ear that do not totally cover the ear so that I can still hear loud noises such as a car horn or the like. While at work, I want to block any external noises as much as possible. I was never able to get the Apple ear buds to fit properly in my ear and they would pop out every time I moved my head -so they were trashed immediately. The J2 fit perfectly in my ears when selecting the middle silicon insert. They are extremely comfortable and help block unwanted external noises.
I am not an audiophile, but, for me, I think these ear buds provide excellent sound quality, considering I am using mp3 audio files. I hear the guitar riffs and subtle nuances in the music which I would seldom notice with other similar ear buds. I find the music is crisp and clean.
I appreciate the straight plug - I have difficulty using earphones that have the right angle plug when using with my ipod when in its protective case.
The manufacture recommends breaking in the ear buds (something which frankly I never knew was necessary), which I did. I am very pleased with the sound quality after the break in. I wish that they would manufacture ear buds that could be used for running -- with a design to reduce the possibility of sweat reaching the speaker part, and a way to attach them to the ears.
I would recommend the J2's, and plan to purchase another pair (or upgrade to J3/J4) in the future.
