Customer Review: Sound Quality and Customer Service

The sound quality is great for the price I bought it at ($10) and above all the customer service is great. don't get me wrong, the headphones are prone to "mono-ear" within a few months if you use them as "harshly" as I do, as my headphones are on for maybe five to ten hours a day, usually leaning towards ten or sometimes even threratening to spill over. However, once the headphones broke, Jlabs sent me a replacement...within two days of the first operating day, even though my email was sent on a weekend. For all those who complain that the durability is not great, please remember that these are not beautifully crafted sixty dollar headphones, but rather great headphones with great sound quality and above all a dealer that is willing to stand behind it's product.
Fod those comparing with the Coby's...if you are listening to anything with bass or vocals, choose the Jlabs. Every single time. Nothing I purchased from coby's (two so far) has bass, vocals, or volume. On the other hand, Jlabs has isolation, volume, bass, vocals...honest to god I'm in love with these. The only thing I recommend more would have to be the second version (J2) Jbuds, because the isolation and sound quality is even better.
The only time I would ever chose Coby's over Jbuds would be for soft listening that requires little or no isolation, so if you're listening to classical or instrumentals, you can save a few dollars and buy the coby's. BUT, if you're a s picky about sound quality as I am, please do yourself a favor and get the Jbuds.
Customer Review: a pleasure until they broke

I've only used cheap ear buds before, and boy, what a difference! These met and exceeded my expectations. They are very comfortable. They mostly stay in place (except when I catch the wires on something while I'm cleaning house and pull them out of my ears). They seal well in my ears. In fact, it's hard to sing along because it's like singing with your fingers in your ears. the sound is perfectly adequate for my taste. I'm glad I bought them. I don't see any need for anything more expensive.
Update one year later:
I purchased these 14 months ago, used them once or twice a week and was very happy. The only problem I had was keeping them in my ears, as I usually used them when cooking and cleaning, and they would tend to come loose with motion. Perhaps I should have tried a different size earpiece.
Yesterday the wiring broke down such that I can now only hear out of one side unless I tweak the wire at the port just right. Unfortunately, the warranty is only for one year. I don't think I was particularly hard on the wires, but I usually put the ipod in my front jeans pocket and perhaps my repetitive bending movements caused the wires to bend in my pocket and caused damage--just a theory. I would like to change my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars, but they won't let me change it now, it seems.
I probably would buy another pair, especially at the current rock-bottom price, but I think I'll go with the newer model this time and see if things go better.
Customer Review: Best $20 earbuds money can buy

I had only every use old fashioned headphones. Cans they are called. I never believed that good sound production could be had by "earbuds" and therefore never tried them.
I was buying these for my wife. It turns out that even the smallest rubber "buds" that came with these headphones were too big for her hears. If you have small ear holes, these may not be for you. I have very large ear holes and I had to use the smallest "buds" on the phones.
I plugged them into my PDA MP3 player. With my old headphones, the volume had to be up around 9-10. I put the buds in my ears and hit "Play." Whoa! The volume was more than loud, it was extremely loud. So, I turned the volume down to about 2-3. Now I use the earbuds to play music when I am mowing the lawn. The JBuds DO reduce the noise of the lawnmower and I was able to hear the music clearly OVER the lawnmower. It was a great experience to actually be able to hear the music while mowing the lawn.
Needless to say that even though I bought these for my wife and they do not fit her, I am glad to have bought these earbuds. I recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who needs some noise reducing earbuds.
They have faithful bass response and the highs are not muddy. Of course they don't compare with $200 earbuds, but the good thing is that they don't cost $200.
For the money, these are awesome headpho...er, earbuds.
(So old, can't stop calling them head phones, albums, cool daddio...)

As the most critical review mentioned, one of the earphone no longer working, even I had the same issue and stopped using it for about 3 months. After knowing about the 1yr warranty, I contacted jlabs and the customer service was simply AMAZING. With just one call, I had my new earphones in 3 days. I am flattered by the customer service and the honesty they are maintaining. This is not yet, adding to my happiness, I got to know that the new earphones also has 1 yr warranty. This way ppl(not all :P) can cheat asking for a replacement just before the warranty but the confidence in their(JLAB) product made them to provide such an offer.
Actually speaking, after my first earphones stopped working, I came to buy the same product again, this implies how much I loved this product. It has 3 buds of different sizes, which make at least one to fit appropriately.
The cord is quite big and I had difficulties walking with and it got hooked to something(like chair, table) and the cord is so strong that it dragged but didnt break and also i cud hear music without any issues. I think all such things made my right earphone not to work. I should be more careful from now on.
Also, I am planning to try the new J3 earphones.
Customer Review: Lasted 3 months... but JLab made it right!

I'm going to base my review on the attribute ratings. I thought the fit was great, it was nice that they included 3 different attachments for different sized ears. Cord length was long which I found to actually be a benefit. As far as bang for the buck for $10 these ear buds were well worth it. I used these primarily when I'm riding my motorcycle under my helmet and they were very comfortable to wear, as well as for walking around school. Sound quality wasn't amazing, you're not going to get the deep bass but high's are very clear. Definitely worth the $10.
They lasted about 3 months before the right earbud stopped working. I contacted JLab customer support and they responded in a very timely manner and offered to replace the defective earbuds. Customer support is amazing, and this company really goes the extra mile to help their customers. Would I purchase these earbuds knowing what I know now, Absolutely! JLab Audio completely stands by their product and their 1 year warranty is Legit! Excellent customer service and follow-up. I'd highly recommend these earbuds or any product for that matter, and this company to anyone not only for their quality products but excellent dedication to their customers as well.
5 Stars!
Update: Received the replacements 12/15/09. Gotta love a company that stands by their product. Jlabs has a customer in me for life! Thanks again.
