Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Earbuds Travel Case for JLab JBuds, BlackCustomer Review: Great Protection Summary: 4 Stars
After the zipper broke on my go to case, I came across several before I settled on this JLabs product. It comes in blue, black, pink and silver. I ordered the black one. After a few months of use, I have to say that its held up well.
Size wise, this case measures a little over two inches. The shell is made of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) which is basically the same stuff that most athletic shoes are made with. The exterior has a nice fabric look and feel to it. This case is also tagged with the JLabs logo on the top.
At first I was a little worried about the zipper holding up. So far so good. I like the heavy duty rubber grip that's mounted to the zipper. The inside mesh pocket has come in handy. Arizona based JLabs backs this product up with a one year warranty. The company also sports an above average website with product information links and a toll free customer service number.
This past weekend I discovered that my Tiffen lens filters fit perfectly. Knowing that the filters are better protected in this case, I ordered two more for my camera bag. Overall I'm impressed with the protection this product provides. So far its been a cost effective tool that has lived up to its billing.
Customer Review: Good little case, but would be better with a few tweaks Summary: 4 Stars
I carry a ton of stuff in my cargo pants, and I have for years.. This case fits well into my cargos, although I'd prefer to see it a little shorter and lose the storage area at the top. I don't use it at all and don't ever see that I will ever use it. However I suppose I should get some backup buds in case I lose one then I might see the value in it. As it is, I think it could be a little less tall and would fit even nicer.
My biggest gripe, which is still fairly minor, is that the zipper moves around on the case and I often have to push/pull it back down into place to zip it. The zipper itself is on a bit of a fold of fabric and easily moves up away from the edge of the case, making it difficult to zip. I don't force it, as zipper quality these days has gone downhill so I'm really careful with them. When this happens I just pull it back down into place and it zips just fine. It's a minor gripe, but not sure why it's designed this way.
Overall, I like it. Sturdy, protects my earbuds, and it's just the right size (if not a tad taller than really necessary).
Customer Review: Well Designed and Protects Well Summary: 4 Stars
I wanted a case to protect my earbuds and decided to try this case. The case is very well designed. The case looks/seems like a hard case but it is definitely on the soft side. It is durable and I feel confident that aside from some absurd circumstance, my headphones will be protected. It is also pretty roomy. I can hold my JBL earbud headphones and a splitter in the case. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it would be the perfect case if it was a bit thinner and if there was a way to wind my headphones so that every time I take it out of the case, I don't have to spend a few minutes trying to untangle the cord.
Recommendation: The case is a high quality product that won't disappoint. As long as you don't mind that it doesn't have a cable winder, I would recommend this product.
Customer Review: Excellent Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these at the recommendation of pandora.com when I complained to them that Pandora doesn't sound loud enough on my Sprint cell phone. And boy were they right! I was never a fan of earphones, prefferred the sound quality of headphones instead. These are a gem.
I set these babies up for a 48-hr break in period by hooking it up to my computer and letting windows media player randomly select my MP3 music and repeat. These have convinced me that it is possible to get high quality from tiny earphones. The bass is just right even at low volumes providing a rich sound quality for my MP3s. I am actually glad the treble is not overwhelming because it causes a headache. I prefer the warm sound, makes the experience about the music not the volume.
Buy these, you won't regret it.
Customer Review: A little bigger than I was hoping Summary: 4 Stars
This appears to be a solidly built product, but there was nowhere on the Web where the actual dimensions were listed. I attempted to contact the manufacturer but was met with silence. I decided to order it anyway and when I got it, I was somewhat disappointed by its thickness: the external dimensions are 3" in diameter and 1-3/8" thick. It seems to me it could be cut down 1/4" or so and still fit almost any ear buds.
That said, it does what it's supposed to, so I can't really fault it too much.
