I have bought the JBL Radial for my daughter about 3 years ago, have been always happy with the unit.
Most recently I wanted to get an iPod/iPhone speaker for myself to use in my office, so I went to all stores that carry speakers one can think of (I even read all reviews online for days).
After trying almost everything thats out there and reading all the reviews, I finally narrowed it down to the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Mini, the bigger Zeppelin was just to big to carry around.
After I took it home from the store I thought hmm lets compare it to the JBL RADIAL - Black, same setting, same song on the iPhone side by side, the JBL blew the B & W away in every aspect. It goes louder without loosing on sound, the lower end is still kicking while system is all the way cranked up.
What a disappointment that after 3 years I could not find a model in its class to keep up with the JBL. As for the B & W, I returned it and am looking now again for something like the JBL (btw Bose was no match in all of this).
