I bought this speaker with the intent to use in my living room and bedroom to FINALLY move from the CD player to the oh so modern ipod :-)
I am impressed by the sound quality and the volume on it. It is a simple product, with clean lines and I love the punchy red of the dock I chose.
A good purchase if you're looking for something small to place on a table or nightstand that carries great sound.

I bought my JBL On Stage Micro Portable iPod Speaker & Docking Station, in red, for $49.99. I am extremely pleased with everything about this player. Great sound, operates on AC or DC, and even has a remote!! The fun shape & red color are just additional reasons to like this player. My son bought me my ipod for Christmas and I love it, and so I can enjoy my music even more he got me the speaker dock for Mother's Day. It has good quality sound and the little case makes it easy for me to take it with me on my trips, I am a flight attendant. This is my second JBL iPod docking station. I also have the larger version, which has better sound, but also costs more. I use the smaller one on my desk at work and it is perfect. Picked it up in the Gold Box deals for 49.99 and couldn't be happier. It's a perfect little bedroom speaker, ideal for listening to background music. The ability to run on batteries is a bonus I haven't attempted to use yet, but I'll probably be glad I have it some day.
