Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Iomega eGo USB 2.0 320 GB Rugged Portable Hard Drive (Ruby Red)Customer Review: Easy Fix!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I got a laptop a while back. I had a desk top. My desk top crashed. Had no money to get top of the line new desktop. Have been using my laptop as the main at-home computer for four years one. Its hard drive ran out of space, only 40 gigs. I thought that it was going to be expensive, but this portablke hard drive was cheap! I put off installing it for two weeks, thinking that it was going to be hard, it installed it in under five minutes. Moved all the agmes and photos onto it in another 2 minutes. Amazing!
I also got a hard case to protect it if I ever move. Best buy I made in a long time!
Customer Review: Everything in a Small Package Summary: 5 Stars
I need to transfer large music files between my office and home production studios. I already had the 160GB model and wanted a larger device for my MacBook, so this was the logical choice.
The 320GB model is twice the capacity in the same physical space, and is perfect for the portability I need. Also, the USB 2.0 connection with my MacBook is very fast, transferring 2GB .wav files in about a minute. And the additional upside is that everyone who sees it thinks its a whiskey flask, which only adds an air of danger and recklessness to my reputation!
Customer Review: Iomega eGo 320 GB Portable Hard Drive Summary: 5 Stars
I had been looking for a portable hard drive for some time when I decided to check out some reviews myself. The Iomega came in way above everyone else for durability. Now I am not planning on driving over my new drive with a truck or anything, but just in case I drop it and something stupid does happen, it is nice to know that this thing will be good to go! It is also really cute - bright red and small. But it is easy to use and holds plenty of data. It will be by first choice for a gift when I need to get one for someone else.
Customer Review: Exceeded Expectations Summary: 5 Stars
Great product. Have been considering a NAS system for the home network to backup digital photos, music, and notebook files. But also needed an inexpensive quick and dirty backup option and this fit the bill ($100).
Worked right out the box (still cold from the porch) and backed up many GBs of data in minutes. Already formatted with NTFS and contains USB cable.
Very fast. Great capacity. Very nicely packaged - small, compact, and stylish.
Highly recommended.
Customer Review: BP gsec Summary: 5 Stars
This nice red flask works quite well and fits in my jacket pocket. First I worried about the two-pronged USB cable that came with it, but I used the drive on 4 different computers (including 3 laptops, one of them is Dell from 2003) and never needed second USB port to power it. This is not a speed monster, but neither is any other portable drive. I'm completely satisfied with performance. I give 5 stars for look and feel/build quality/size and 4 for performance.
