This drive has a very small footprint, and installed seamlessly on a Windows XP machine as a backup drive - I didn't even have to install the software on the enclosed CDROM. Also, it showed up remotely (using Go 2 My PC) immediately after install and has never failed, after about five weeks of constant use. That's quite a nice combination. Superfast install, reliable, and small footprint. This would even make a suitable audio drive (for smaller projects). I bought another drive to start out with and had to send it back because I didn't have a firewire port on my laptop and I am glad I did. This is fine product and with the optional case it is easy to take with you. I was amazed at how cool it stayed when I used it for larger data transfers. It comes with a dual USB plug in case your machine's USB port does not put out enough power to run it well but I have had no problems using a single USB cable.Customer Review: Great purchase, great price!

The product has been 100% satisfactory; it came speedily and worked like a charm. Nice and small, didn't overheat, easily powered via USB. Setup was really simple. Has worked well with my MacBook and Leopard so far.
I recommend contacting the seller w/Qs re this product; it certainly helped me out. I don't have much to say, but I highly recommend it.

To date this hard drive has operated superbly. Easy to install and excellent for my system which includes 3 computers at different places. Before I had difficulties keeping files up to date on each computer. Now I have a disk which plugs into each computer and I utilize the same material.Customer Review: external hard drive

I moved files, such as pictures, from my internal hard drive onto the Iomega, thereby freeing up much needed space. The product worked nicely for me. However, after the file copy, this product became very warm. Therefore, when not in use, I keep the unit powered off (switch is in the back).
