Customer Review: Excellent processor, but don't buy it here!

The processor is very good and you can learn more about that over the internet.
The problem is Amazon. The processor has a new revision (G0) for some 4 months now but Amazon is still selling the old and much worse one (B3). I feel cheated for having bought this processor here paying the same price as other people do when buying the much better G0 from other retailers.

Great product, easy to install, awesome performance, though I haven't given it much of a challenge yet. I'm looking forward to when we'll have more applications using the full power of a quad-core.
I was lucky to get the one with the new stepping, so maybe I'll do some overclocking when the time is right. No point now; 4 core processors at 2.4GHz is more than enough at the moment.

Instale este procesador en un board ASUS P5KC y utilizo Windows vista 64 bit, con 2GB de memoria DDR2 800Mhz. Normalmente edito videos al mismo tiempo que disfruto de juegos tan pesados como Crisys y este procesador me da poder para esto y para mas.
NOTA: sustituyan el disipador que trae por uno de mejores prestaciones para no tener problemas con la temperatura.

There is so much written about the product there is nothing to add. It is my master desktop processor in an intel board. I am going to upgrade my board and move this processor to it. This with RAID striping is outstanding. Spending more for a faster processor isn't really necessary unless you are a gamer. I am not, but I have very high requirments as I work on PC's for a living.Customer Review: It just change my point of view

I been looking for months to choose the right components to make my new gaming pc.
After reading every single forum (I used to be an AMD fan) I found out that the right choise would be this Q6600.
Right now, with water cooling, I am running it from 2.4Ghz to 4.0Ghz!
It was the right choise, my new gaming PC is not running, is flying!
