I have owned the smooth cloth-covered wrist rests in the past, and have always had trouble with splitting seams. I tried this style with some reservations because I did not think it would be as comfortable. But it is.
It's a slick gel rest. I was afraid that my wrists would sweat while in contact with it, but they don't. This rest is a little more firm than the cloth-covered rests, but I like that. And there is no indentation left if I rest my elbows on it when I'm reading my screen.
I'm ordering another one for my office. Very good product.
