Customer Review: Merc Stealth keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

Very good board. Keys are set in the right places.
Three color lighted keys, just wish you set the default color.

Gaming keys are set out just about right. The normal keys are easy to use. Had the Ideazon with the replaceable keysets before this one. Key placement sucked. Gaming was easy, but when you tried to type/chat, you were hunting for the right key, not with this board.

Only issue is the placement of the delete key. It is dual use with number pad 1. To use you are constantly turning the number lock on and off.
Remapping doesn't solve this as you have to constantly reload the remap with each boot.

It's now August 2009 and I've been using this keyboard for several months now. Fantastic keyboard. A couple of minor issues (del is shared with the 1 on the number pad and you constantly have to switch the num lock on/off to use both, can't change the default key backlights)), but otherwise, I can't see using any other keyboard, especially for gaming and day to day use. Not sure why this is now listed at $154. Don't pay more than $60 for this model or $30 or so for the basic model. Either one is great.

Customer Review: Great for Gaming
Summary: 5 Stars

I have played Call of Duty with this keyboard for about 4 years now. It works great. I like blue and purple better than red because they are brighter. The keys are not very quiet but do not disturb me. If you game a lot with one key ("W and Shift")the rubber will wear off a little, no big deal. I use about 25/34 keys on the game pad part(some doubled like 2 "F" keys). For some reason I can not get the program with it to work with Vista 64 bit. It says it should work with Vista. But the keyboard runs perfectly on Vista anyway. During gameplay about once every 2 months it will shut off all control so you have to unplug it and replug it in(I think it is because of hitting too many keys at once) it can be annoying. It also has 1 Mic. and 1 headset jack and 2 USB ports. Some headset/mic. cabels don't fit well, but they work fine. It is a well made keyboard and will last for a few more years. I am very happy with the purchase.

Customer Review: Great Gaming Board

The only problem ive had with this keyboard is the number pad setup, the nubers arrows, and home/end/delete keys are all in the same area, and that just took a little time to get used to.

On the plus side this board has backlit keys which you can change the color and intensity of, two usb ports for quick access, alongside a headphone and microphone jack-perfect for headsets. this keyboard also has built in audio controls making music easier to listen to.

But the main aspect of ths keyboard would have to be the gaming pad on the left side, this puts all of the most commonly used keys in one place and has them conveniently located so they can be found without even having to look down. the number keys are especially nice, located directly above the directional keys.

Overall I recomend this keyboard, with its cool looks and convenient setup, whats not to love?

Customer Review: Excellent gaming keyboard!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was torn between getting this keyboard, or waiting for Belkin to release their new n52te gaming keypad which is just under the cost of this keyboard. I got tired of waiting for Belkin to role out the n52te and decided on this. One word - excellent! I also have the current n52 Belkin keypad, but wanted key lighting and better feel. The gaming controls of the MERC Stealth are much more comfortable to me than the n52 (but this is subjective), and I found them easier to get used to and have more control in games such as CoD4.

As others have mentioned, the regular keyboard layout is a bit different such as the numpad area, but I'm quickly getting used to it. Tactile feedback is also excellent for me on this keyboard, as well as build quality. I'm getting rid of the Belkin n52, and am happily using the MERC Stealth for gaming as well as regular computer tasks. Highly recommeded!

Customer Review: Great Gaming Keyboard
Summary: 5 Stars

Before using this keyboard, I had never tried any sort of keypad peripheral, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. After using it on games ranging from Call of Duty 4 to World of Warcraft, I have to admit I'm impressed. The keys--on the entire keyboard--are responsive and provide a very satisfying feel. The keys are all illuminated--three different colors--which is certainly not a necessity, but wicked nonetheless, and the layout of the keypad is very handy.

Now there is a slight downside, nothing to do with the keyboard itself exactly, but related to how it is used. If you are used to a 'normal' keyboard, it will take some time to get fully used to the keypad. This is not because the pad is wildly different than a standard WASD layout, just a bit different--and when you get used to it--better.
