For the price, they're decent. You get what you pay for. At eight bucks, a person couldn't possibly expect these to last for a lifetime. They are coated cardboard, easily ruined if damaged by water (or aggressive pets)! The pros are 1) they are cheap. 2) they are easily assembled. 3) they are black and silver, so, they will pretty much mesh with whatever the motif of the room you keep them in might be. 4) they will fit your CD's, DVD's, or computer software, etc. Now, besides the fact that they could be ruined quite easily, I have only one con (though I consider it a big one). I'm not entirely sure who decided upon making the 'lid' two times larger than the box itself, but I don't like it. One would expect a snug fit with a box like this but that isn't the case at all. The lid clearly belongs to another box (or so it seems). Not a big gripe for some but I don't like that one tip over and my CD's and DVD's are going to be everywhere! Still, it's a bang for your buck, so, if you're looking for cheap and ideal, this is it!Customer Review: A bit flimsy but it's worth the price

As some other reviewers have mentioned, it's not extremely sturdy or durable. The materials are not of a sturdy nature-- however, they're also of an inexpensive nature. Still, it seems like the box could be sturdier-- perhaps without the buttons. It allows the company to pack them in a collapsible manner, and that probably also lower costs, but I'd be willing to pay a little more for a more sturdy design.
That being said, I've had no problem fitting CDs. The walls are not completely straight, but once you put CDs they're fine. I have one that is even holding 1 or 2 more than the 30 Jewel Cases it says is the capacity.
I'd recommend going to a dollar tree type store and buying a pack of CD sleeves. I can store 100s of CDs with 2 products that barely cost me over 10 bucks.

I was concerned because a few people claimed these boxes were too tight to fit CDs in cases. I took a chance and bought a bunch of them anyway for a couple of hundred CDs. Didn't have any problems. They look sharp, not that it matters since the boxes are going under the bed, and everything fit fine (except one oddly sized CD case).
Only reason I don't give it 5 stars - there is a holder for a card to label each box but they don't give you any labels. A little lame.
Anyway, they are cheap and work/look fine.

I read many unhappy reviews about these storage boxes and was reluctant to purchase. Due to the price, I decided to give them a try anyway. Mine were not a tight fit for CD's as some said. I wanted to store many CDs in their original cases and they fit great! These were easy to put together. The lid does not go all the say down as some others mentioned and actually sits on the top of the CD cases, but I am fine with that issue. I would not hesitate to recommend these cases to anyone who is looking to store old CDs!
