I did quite a bit of searching for a USB Blue tooth device that would work on Vista 64 bit and stumbled across this one. It had mixed reviews but I figured I'd give it a shot. So far this has worked exceptionally well. The device came with a CD that included all the necessary installation items complete with the device driver. My wife (who doesn't know much about computers) was the one to actually get the device up and working. It took about 15 minutes of setup but after that it was working. I definitely recommend this item. I will offer this tip, I took about 2 minutes after installation for it to finally pick other blue tooth devices so if it doesn't work right away give it a few minutes.Customer Review: Windows 7!!!

Read several reviews & ordered it to install on new HP Pavilion w/windows 7 to pair w/bluetooth headphones! Quick & easy to install, didn't even need to enter codes as I'd read about. (not really a code, just misc numbers from what I read). I installed the mini-disk, plugged in the adapter when prompted & like magic, it connected. Once installation completed, go to control panel & add device with fully charged headphones in paring mode. I'm listening to it right now. Distance says 300'. Not that I got tape measure out but I went downstairs w/no problems in our 1800 sq ft house. (computer centrally located in house) I'd say go for it!Customer Review: You get what you pay for.

I was hesitant to purchase this product because it is inexpensive. It arrived quickly, it was easy to set up (make sure you install the software first) and besides the fact that the signal was blocked when the device was plugged into the back of my machine, I had no problems.
My computer sits in a cutout built into my desk and it is against a wall with about 10 other cables coming off of it, so the interference with the signal didn't surprise me. Once I moved it to the top of my machine, (or better yet the front if you have that available) it has been working great with my bluetooth headset.

If your considering buying a blue tooth USB adapter, this is one of the best choices you can make for the price. There is also the cheaper version of this product by the same company but with amazon's $25 or more free shipping, this is better deal, price and featurewise. Haven't had any driver issues or anything, simply follow instructions and its up in 5 minutes. Fairly fast data transfer rate, and light as a feather. Wow. This product is something that actually worked the very first time I installed it on my laptop with Windows Vista. It's truly impressive. Since Windows Vista has terrible bluetooth support built-in, I purchased and installed BlueSoleil software (IVT Corporation)and now I have my cellphone bluetooth headset working with my ACER laptop (it's great for chat), I can listen to my laptop-based mp3 music in another room, and so on. I highly recommend the IOGEAR USB adapter.
