Customer Review: Didexactly what it promised.
Summary: 5 Stars

I was looking for an inexpensive way to use my Blackberry 6530 Tour as a modem for my laptop. After reading a few reviews this little gem seemed to be the way to go. You do have to deal with some nasty packaging. It seems like a lot of plastic for such a little device. I suppose they needed to make the item big enough not to lose it. The first bummer was that the drivers are included on a mini-cd. I have an XPS1530 with a slide in cd player, it won't work with the minicds. Luckily you can easily find the drivers online, and they install easily. Once I handled the software the rest of the setup was easy. I just paired my phone with the laptop and they connected. Now I have an icon in the bottom toolbar I just click on to activate the blue tooth dongle. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Customer Review: doesnt work with windows 7?? MYTH BUSTED SON

the little dude works perfectly fine with windows 7 64bit, I didnt have to do anything except plug it on in then BOOM money. (you dont actually get money) windows recognized it, installed the required drivers, told me it was ready to use, and indeed it was, gives you a little bluetooth icon down by the volume and whatever that you can click on and gives you the following options.. "add device, allow device to connect, show bluetooth devices, send a file, recieve a file, join a personal area network, open settings, remove icon" but of course this all may be different if you choose to use a different software but thats what windows did. I had a dell wireless mouse that i used with a separate massive limited function "mini" bluetooth dongle but it is not needed now thanks to the IOGear.

Customer Review: Plug 'n play all the way
Summary: 5 Stars

What a joy. A tiny Bluetooth adapter that works with Windows XP right out of the box. (Vista seems to require a special driver.)

There's really not a lot that can be said about a product like this.

It is exactly what it promises to be, a very small and useful Bluetooth adapter. Plug it into a USB port and it is functional within seconds. I tried it with cell phones, Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth mice and everything paired within seconds.

No drama. No hassles. No frustration.

Best of all, perhaps, is that it so small and without any sharp edges, you can leave it plugged into your laptop or netbook without any fear of snagging on your carrying case.

Excellent product at a good price.

Customer Review: IOGear 2.1 Bluetooth adapter

IOGear USB 2.1 Bluetooth Micro Adapter GBU421

I paid $12.83 for this adapter and am now able to play games with a Wii remote on my PC. I was able to set it up very quickly, the drivers were a smooth install, and it gets the job done with no noticable lag. Certainly worth the price, I highly recommend this thing.

Just remember to press Alt+S to skip the password page if the thing you're trying to connect to your PC doesn't have a password(like a Wiimote). I had to Google around for that bit of information, couldn't find it in the manual or anything. I also have to reconnect the Wii remote every time I wanna use it, but that's really just a software issue.

Customer Review: Using it right now
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great tool. I am an IT manager and I use it on my laptop at work. I connect my keyboard, mouse, and Bluetooth headset to it. It's small enough that I don't have to remove it when I place my laptop in the case, but still strong enough to have my earpiece still work when I go to the bathroom (four walls away). I did have to go to the web site to download the latest driver to get it to work better with Windows 7. It's very cool because I get to use my Bluetooth earpiece for my cell phone as a wireless headphone for the laptop when I'm not in a call. I have two Bluetooth headsets at work that I swap between because I have music streaming to them for the whole eight hours. It's a very good product that I have had no problem with using 5 days a week eight hours a day.
