Customer Review: IOGear USB 2.1 Bluetooth Dong WORKS LIKE A CHAMP!
Summary: 5 Stars

IOGear USB 2.1 Bluetooth Dongle performs perfectly. Just as advertised.

I plugged it in, Windows recognised it and installed it. I had bluetooth on my laptop.

It only sticks out about a 1/4" and is VERY unobtrusive.

I had read the reviews of the $0.01 dongles, the @ $2.50, and the other cheap dongles and people said they were junk. That is why I shelled out the $ and bought a name brand, exspensive dongle. I'm glad I did. It works. I didn't have to mess around with it, and, most importantly, I wasn't disappointed.

Don't waste your money on a cheap dongle that may not work. Buy a name brand one that people like me have tried and verify that it's good.

Decent range and immeadiatley recognises your device and lets you hook up to it.

Well worth the money.

Customer Review: Works in Linux (Ubuntu Lucid 10.04), 32-bit Desktop Environment
Summary: 5 Stars

Plug-and-play: Plugged in the adapter into a free USB slot of my Acer One 8.9" (Model# ZG5), powered on netbook, then after logging in, went to System> Preferences> Bluetooth.

Set up Bluetooth Mouse: I have a Logitech V470 bluetooth mouse that I had set up this way: after clicking on Bluetooth, click on the Set up new device... button. Click on the Forward button. The netbook will then scan for available bluetooth devices; make sure your bluetooth mouse is powered on. When your mouse appears in the device list, click on your device once, then click on Forward. That's it!

Note: I have not had issues with the bluetooth adapter, so I can't comment on the customer support service for IOGear.

Note 2: This IoGear USB 2.1 bluetooth micro adapter (GBU421) does not require batteries. It draws power from a USB port.

Customer Review: Nice, small but useful utility
Summary: 5 Stars

I mainly wanted to get rid of wired headphones while using skype etc, and all the wireless headphones with mic in the market are either very costly or not that effective. This product has solved my problem to a great extent. Simply install the driver, plug the device and you are all set. I have windows 7 and it worked with it smoothly.

I bought this just 2 days back so not sure about the reliability of the product, but so far so good. One thing i want to highlight (specially with Win 7):

1. Once correctly installed, as you switch on your bluetooth device your sound output of laptop will automatically directed to the bluetooth device via this adaptar. No configuration needed for different application. Even streaming videos like Netflix, WMP etc everything automatically transmits sound using bluetooth.

Customer Review: Perfect for me on Win7
Summary: 5 Stars

I ordered this to replace a cheaply made one I ordered from HDE that worked for less than a day. The driver shipped with this one is not the most updated one, but a quick trip to the manufacturers' website takes care of that problem. I plugged it in, let Win7 install it's drivers since I can't really stop it, then just installed the newest drivers from the manufacturers' website.

Works perfectly for connecting my cellphone to my pc for transfers, but I mainly got it to connect with my bluetooth stereo headphones, and I couldn't be happier! Range says 30 feet, but I got it to work perfectly all the way outside, and my headset's control buttons (next track, etc) work perfectly with Windows Media Player. Transfer speed is good for my purposes. All in all I'm completely happy with it and would buy it again. :)

Customer Review: Works Great On Windows Xp SP2 With Nokia E63
Summary: 5 Stars

I read all the reviews as of May 2009 and I decided to take the plunge and purchase this item and followed advice from the comments. I purchased it and didn't use the CD drivers, I just downloaded the drivers from the website, installed it and followed the on screen instructions.

The bluetooth works great with my new Nokia E63 Nokia E63-2 Unlocked Cell Phone with 2 MP Camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, Media Player, MicroSD Slot--U.S. Version with Full U.S. Warranty (Ultramarine Blue), I had to pair it to my computer and everything went smoothly, downloading text and multimedia messages, contacts, etc.

So if your looking for a bluetooth for Nokia E63 or to interact with your windows XP I can actually recommend it.
