Customer Review: Big waste of money. :(

I bought two of there for my 6 and 7 yr. old boys for Christmas. This camera is looks and feels like it'll break easily. I'm just waiting for one of my boys to drop it and have to throw it away. The battery case in the bottom won't stay shut and all of the pictures are lost when the batteries come out. There is only one "mode" button to change from high quality to high quality, etc. It's confusing for my kids...actually it's not all that easy for me either. lol It doesn't have an off or on button, it just turns itself off, which means that every time the boys turn it back on they have to scroll thru the options before they are able to take a picture. It's also very easy to accidentally erase all of their pictures. (It's happened more times that I can count.)
Now for the picture quality: POOR!! Even in the high quality mode, not one of the their pictures is worth making a print of.
I am so disappointed in this camera. I wish I hadn't wasted my money of these!
It's an okay camera for kids to learn how to take pictures with, without wasting film and it'd probably be worth $10 (shipping included) but not a penny more.

Too bad that 1 star is your lowest rating - even that is generous.
Unfortunately, we purchased this camera for our 4-1/2 year old granddaughter to take with her on our family vacation. She was SO excited to have her own digital camera. Mind you, because of the price, we knew it was probably going to produce average photos, but if we had even gotten below average photos we would have been happy. However we got absolutely nothing except frustrated...the software loaded, but not one of the pictures she took would load off the camera. The counter had gone down so we knew she had taken some pictures, but absolutely NOTHING came out. She knew how to take the pictures as we had read the very poorly written directions to her and she showed us the steps she went through, so we knew she was doing it correctly. Needless to say, her hopes were crushed at not having her own camera to record our very first all-family vacation. I bought her a dispoable single-use camera on the 2nd day and she did a great job with that.
What a joke - even with fresh batteries each day, not one of her photos came out.

I agree with all the other one star reviews. This camera is the worst. We also bought it thinking it would be low quality, but good enough for a child. Not so. The pictures are horribly blurry and are the washed-out orange that another reviewer mentioned. The quality was shockingly poor even for a child's product. On the bright side, it's a great opportunity to teach your children about advertising, disappointment, etc. For example, the packaging is fairly engaging--makes it look fun and interesting--but it's SO not. Price is not always a dead giveaway, but in this case, it was the first clue. You can also talk to your children about the importance of doing research before you buy a product, buying only from a source where you can get your money back if not satisfied and saving the receipt. Do yourself a favor and leave this camera in its nuclear blast proof packaging. If you do choose to release it, you will become the proud owner of a "camera" whose most noteworthy attribute is its ability to drain batteries despite showing no other sign of actually functioning. And if you try to load the included software onto your computer, you will be left with a smoking remnant of a formally functioning hard drive that will require incredible luck or all the computer expertise of Silicone Valley to recover. Whatever you do, don't expect to get any help from the technical support phone number provided with the camera software. Apparently, they are overwhelmed with customer complaints, and advise calling back "later" for assistance. Fat chance. Their camera destroyed itself, their software nearly destroyed my computer, and I refuse to give their telephone assistance the chance to take out my phone system. Treat anything from this company like it's a live virus. Keep your kids, your computer and yourself far, far away.Customer Review: Not a good way to start!

I would rate this product at half a star or no star if that was an option.
Even at $15, this is NOT a good product.
1 - the packaging is misleading. I had no idea that this camera takes Black and White pictures. I had no idea there is NO LCD display.
2 - no flash
3 - black and white
4 - poor viewfinder - what was centered to my eye appears to the upper right corner in the actual photo
5 - crappy quality - extremely grainy even at the best resolution
I was most frustrated after shopping for a cheap and age-appropriate camera that almost everything is supported by one company, Sakar, and everything had incomplete and inaccurate packaging. It was almost impossible to determine whether or not it had ALL the features I wanted.
The software included is okay and seems to work fine for my 6yo, IF he could ever take a decent picture that is more than of his friends eyes...
