After reading a lot about using a filter or not I decided to purchase this filter to protect my Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC AF OS Zoom Lens for my Digital Rebel XTi. Lots of professionals might say you are screwing up your photo with a UV lens, but for an amateur like me I'd much rather protect my lens. Plus I haven't noticed a difference at all in my pictures. This filter has been on my lens since day one and I have no plans of taking it off anytime soon.
