This is something that really surprised me. I bought this item as a birthday present. Something that I thought would be a thoughtful gift that I didn't really want to spend an overwhelming amount of money on. Got them in the mail and helped hook them up. They sound amazing! I ordered 2 pairs and hooked them up. I was very impressed in the sound quality. I would defiantly recommend this product to anyone who likes to enjoy music while sitting in any outdoor area. I would buy these items again.. and just might for myself when I get my outdoor patio done.Customer Review: These speakers exceeded my expectations

Wow - These speakers far exceeded my expectations and actually put out decent sound. Because they sit on the ground you can turn them up louder without having to worry about irritating the neighbors.
To install I simply drilled a 3/8" hole through the living room wall and ran speaker wire to the outside patio through a plastic coaxial guide. I then crimped the speaker wire from the house to the speaker wire of the rock speakers.
I couldn't be happier. Now I can listen to my turntable while outside on the patio :-)

Terrific speakers for the price. When used in the appropriate and recommended constraints, these speakers sound like they cost way more that what amazon sells them for. I have owned a pair for a couple months now and have held up to harsh weather outside extremely well, still sound great, and haven't noticed any sun fading or any flaw so far. I didn't expect great things from these speakers because of the price but WOW! I used 14 guage wire (runs were less than 50 ft each) and the sound quality was fabulous! I already had a relatively expensive pair of speakers outside and these speakers definately give the more expensive speakers a run for the money. Liked them so much I ordered another pair! Speakers arrived quickly and very well packed. Installed in the back yard garden here in Hawaii using heavy gauge wire, as recommended by manufacturer. Speaker performance tested using symphonic music and am very pleased with the results. No significant degradation of sound. Time will tell as to how well they stand up in this humid and salty environment, but after more than a month of service they're doing well.
