I had been looking for a decent set of outdoor speakers for a while when I found these. The price was right, they didn't stick out in my patio area like a sore thumb so I decided to purchase two sets of them. I have them hooked up to a twelve year old Pioneer receiver inside my house, and they sound fantastic. Since the furthest speaker is over 50ft. from the receiver I decided to use some Malibu lighting wire (14 gauge) that I had left over from the patio lighting project. It is rated for outdoor use and it is direct burial. The install was straight forward, just don't reverse the polarity of the red and black wire on the back of the speaker or you will get no bass and the rest of it will sound tinny. I have an adapter to go from my IPOD to the receiver and I now sit out on the patio listening to music for hours and never a bad song. I strongly recommend this product; with a little planning, and an afternoon of work, you will have something that lasts for years and be the envy of the the neighborhood.Customer Review: Don't expect Bose sound - still worth the price

I purchased two sets if these speakers last July. I am extremely happy with these. By no means are these Bose speakers, but I am not about to spend that amount of money for outdoor speaker for the pool.
Set your expectations accordingly. A $30 to $50 per speaker will not provide sound like an outdoor concert speaker. You also have to be aware of the wire size requirements when setting these up. Use appropriate wire size for the run length. Don't use too small of wire and expect great sound from any speaker.
These are small in size and not overwhelming. They blend fairly well into the desert landscape.
I would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for quality sound for normal listening in a family backyard. I would spend more for a better quality speaker if you are entertaining frequently and have large gatherings. These will probably be too small to handle that demand.

Let me just say that I have purchased over 15 pairs of speakers. No, these aren't the best speakers I have ever heard, but what I will say is, for the price, and to be outdoor all weather speakers, these are really amazing. When I first hooked them up, I thought that they sounded ok, considering the size and the fact that they have a tweeter that isn't even an inch. I set them up outside and I was surprised at the sound. I thought they sounded good for the size. The funny thing is, when I checked my receiver, I realized that I hadn't set the balance, nor did I set the bass and treble. Once I did that, I couldn't believe my ears. No, they aren't Cerwin Vegas, JBL, or Yamaha, but neither of those look like a rock and play in the rain. If you are looking for an outdoor speaker...get these...you won't be disappointed.Customer Review: Patio Perfection!

We found these speakers at Brandsmart for $169.88, but they were sold out. Then I found them at Best Buy for $99.99, but Guess what? SOLD OUT! Then I found the pair on Amazon for $59.95 & if I would have taken advantage of the Amazon credit card, they would have cost me $29.95 w/the $30 credit! I checked the brand & the model number, these are the same speakers that are sold out elsewhere for more than double!I also checked the reviews & they were all outstanding with 5 Stars! They were delivered in 3 days & hooked up in 20 minutes! They sound awesome; I am literally amazed at the sound quality & they look spectacular in our garden!
I would recommend these speakers to everyone! The are great for entertaining or even when we are in the pool, grilling out or gardening! We have them all the time!

I purchased these rock speakers in the summer and they performed quite well. They output a lot of sound when needed and blend it perfect in my flowerbeds. I was lucky enough to have an an old satellite wire coming thru the outside of my living room I didnt use anymore and was able to fish the wire inside the house. I havent used them since october so im not sure how they hold up in the elements. Other reviewers have said they have had no problems with the speakers withstanding wet/stormy weather. I didnt set my expectation bar high in other words I knew I wasnt buying bose, or JBL but these get the job done. The one thing reccomended when buying these is to buy extra speaker wire and wire connectors. The speaker wire connected to these is only about 2 feet long.
