I generally don't rate too many products, but i just have to give some feedback here. i use a pair of Altec Lansing UHP336 Snugfit In-ear Earphones with the included sleeves, which have been just fine so far. i use them both for casual listening with my iPod and with an in-ear monitoring system for live music performance.
I use the foam sleeves for isolation from my drums and other stage sounds. I had been using a pair of Shure single driver in-ear monitors with foam sleeves for years before i purchased the Altecs, so i have alot of experience with decent quality earbuds, and the Altec's had been a nice substitute (I was retrofitting the Foam sleeves from the shures onto the Altec's before i purchased the Comply Tips)
When i took the Comply tips out of the package, i must say that i was not expecting much to change with the audio quality of the Altecs. I plugged them into my iPod and played some electronic music with very deep bass and i HONESTLY could not believe my ears. Wow, the difference was astounding. I thought i was getting a good seal before, but i guess i was not.
And the noise reduction is really good too. I can play my drums at full volume (over 100 dBA) while listening to backing tracks and i have not had to turn the level of the tracks up to a damaging level. I highly recommend these things. With shipping, they come out to be about $6.67/pair, but it is well worth it if they hold up over time. i am not sure that i could ever turn back at this point. i'm hooked.
