We have a weekend getaway home and monthly internet costs just are not justified by the amount of time we spend here. My neighbor two houses away let me use this item to access his wireless network and I must say, it's as if I am sitting in his living room instead of two houses away. This little adapter really works. I am at the far end of a G wireless router, housed in a concrete block building. Considering the distance, (at least 800 feet), this adapter gives a valiant effort - meaning the signal is not completely reliable, but considering, not too shabby.
Would I recommended it ... you bet!

The unit improves the signal ok & the only reason for a 4 rating is that it's only got a 3 ft cord. After spending the money there should be an option pushing the 33Ft length. Reception definitely improved.
